witch
Normally I'm a pagan but I have a small problem.. I perceive my lover as god on earth. He's all that matters. Actually he's my mentor and the only person I ever had sex with, so I'd not call him a lover; I never had a boyfriend. Not a dominance thing, nothing to do with sexual fantasies. I admire him very much, so much in fact that I see him as absolutely perfect. I don't know if this should worry me, I guess so. I don't speak his name or say 'I love u' bcause it would b blasphemy. I feel I belong to him; my reason of existence is to let him devour my body and spirit to make him stronger. u guys think it's obsession? It will fade? I worship the ground he walks on. lindya
Is he fat, like a Buddha? If so, I recommend you get hold of some bits of gold leaf to stick on his body. That's a mark of respect, and is supposed to bring good luck. Also, take a few sticks of burning incense and a lotus and place it in front of him. Tradition sayeth that doing all this will prevent you from posting rubbish on internet message boards. Ask anyone - I was absent from this board for several weeks, and I put it all down to incense, lotus and gold leaf encrusted buddhas.
bluetuesday
I admire him very much, so much in fact that I see him as absolutely perfect. what? it's NOT a joke?! oh come on this has to be a wind up. on the slim chance this is real - yes, you're deeply unhealthily obsessed. you are defining yourself solely in relation to a man who is so imperfect, he's letting you do it. if the reason for your existence is to let him devour you to make him stronger, trust me he will. he already is. then when you've got nothing left to give he will move on to another willing sacrifice. what a great idea! where do i sign up? you need to speak to someone about this. this man is flawed - all human beings are - and if he is aware of your feelings, he is using you. if he is unaware of your feelings he doesn't care about you enough to find out what they are. not a great deal for you either way. Pink Amulet
Haha B4R! Don't encourage the situation what ever you do Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is involved in a pagan religion? Is worship of another human being common?

konfused
don't listen to any of these other posters witch like john the baptist before you, you must decrease so that he may increase I don't think he was encouraging. He meant that her self-worth went down as her idealizing of him went up. B4R, itsn't that a great metaphor for john the baptist being born in the summer and Jesus in the winter and the sun's positioning in the sky. Back to the post. If he's your first sex partner and boyfriend or whatever, you may just be in love. If so, then the feelings will pass and you'll be returned to your normal self. Keep an eye on yourself. Nicholas
the word 'pagan' means anyone who is not jewish, christian, or muslim. it basically means someone who worships something besides god (the god of abraham). someone who worships another human being could be considered a pagan, yes, but its not common. for a long time it was a pejorative, and to many still is, but some adherents to naturalistic faiths have since adopted the term for themselves--similar to the way american homosexuals adopted the term 'queer,' or to a lesser extent, the way some african americans embrace the term 'nigger'. I don't think he was encouraging. He meant that her self-worth went down as her idealizing of him went up. no, he wasn't addressing her post at all nor talking about her relationship. read he as "jesus," and take note of the part where he calls her a witch. i suspect the poster doesn't have a religious problem. i think she's just codependent and slightly self-important. if you view your lover as perfect, your relationship will not last. it sets unrealistic expectations for you and is quickly going to get obnoxious for him.
