I am now a married man

Recommended Posts

The place where I am staying has internet access so I thought I might post this before we head out to Europe. The wedding was today and it was great. Her family are the nicest people and I love San Francisco. We are seriously considering moving out here. Just wanted to break the news to people.

Let me be the first to say CONGRATS to you and your bride.

Tell her "I love you" before you go to bed EVERY night. And, never go to bed angry with eachother.

Have fun on the honeymoon!

Congratulations. Every marriage starts out with such high hopes. But hope must be kept alive during the difficult days that are ahead. Most marriages do survive...those are the ones where both partners commit to loving each other during good and bad times.

I think many of us can say we have concerns, but none of us really know you and what level of commitment you will have for this marriage. None of us know her and what she will do to make her marriage survive. I can say that having gone through some times where quitting seemed an option, I am so glad that we didn't.

Remember why you married her. Remember why she married you. And above all, remember that love is a choice not just a feeling.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've been gone and am back now to check on what happened with you.

Congratulations!

And now a blessing: "May you keep the lighthouse of love working so that your love is a beacon that witnesses to life's hope. And may your commitment to love no matter what shine through the dark days and stormy seas that are also a part of marital weather patterns."

Keep us posted, Wog, ok?

ENJOY and trust that love can be good.
