a4a
Asked my H last night why it was so important in his view that we should stay married. He really could not answer :lmao: He came up with this crap line though : because I want to make you happy and when you are happy I am happy......... :lmao: So what are the real reasons folks Mine is because I am too lazy to move out........... :lmao: I think I am serious. I just don't feel like moving or starting over, not that things are bad but when I boils down to it..... that is the most dreaded part of ending a marriage in my view. worriedsick
I think if we did divorce, I would miss my husband, despite all the problems. However, I do know that my life would be much easier without him, as he brings a lot of baggage to our relationship, both emotionally and financially. Sometimes I wish he would do something bad so I could feel I was "justified" in leaving but until he does, it's very unlikely I'll leave. I guess I'm more afraid of being single and thinking I made a mistake by leaving him than of being married and irritated all the time. So, if he screwed up (like cheating or something) then there wouldn't be a doubt in my mind that leaving would be the right thing so the doubts would be gone.

beach
Hey - When we realise that we all have our own faults - it's easy to understand that anyone can go through a period of questioning the partner they are with. The hope is that the good outweighs the bad, then it is worth staying in the marriage. When the bad outweighs the good - and it can no longer be remedied, then it is time to move on without your other half...

IhavenoFREAKINclue
Future.....That's my reason. My future will not be filled with arguments, rather understandings and compramising, no raising of any voices (seriously). And I can crash his car and he sees a silver linign in it! I'm a very careless person and he see's past that. Either that or he just doesn't give a **** (about the situation, not about me)
quankanne
and can bend like Gumby!! your guy can bend like Gumby?!! why stay in my marriage? Because the longer we're together, the more I realize how well matched we are – we're from very different backgrounds (faith, social, educational, racial) but every day I learn something about him that helps me see that this man was meant for me. And I for him. that's not to say there aren't some days I'd like to choke the daylights out of him ...
TUDOR
I had a list going to answer this question but there was on in particular that just kept jumping out at me so I narrowed down the list to just that one. #1 Reason Tudor will likely stay married......my wife is a lawyer and will not only take half my **** but likely take me for everything! Its cheaper to keep her!
bab
Well, I've been married less than 2 months, so it might seem like I didn't put in any effort if I quit already! So far I'm lovin' married life, so I can't think of a reason not to be married. I love that he's my life partner. Someone I enjoy sharing all of lifes ups and downs with. Author a4a
I am starting to wonder if the desire to get a new dog is just another way of avoiding divorce for a short time. I recently added a personal pet to my life. I think I like the dog better than the H today. I really must figure out why I have the urge to get rid of the H. He is good looking and a nice person........... but I just want to strangle him 95% of the time......... hummmmmmmmmmm. Perhaps I need a new thread for this?

Author a4a
Well if you ditch him, ship him my way I don't know if you would want him..... he does leave hair in the shower drain. You may end up with him , but keep in mind he lives here in the sticks and refuses to move back to the city......you will also have to learn to work like a man, run a tractor, use multiple power tools, and put up with his indoor pet chicken...... it ain't all roses with him. but he is good looking and does have that Gumby ability. Touche
I can't imagine my life WITHOUT him in it. Yes, I have my little fantasies about what it would be like to be single again. Or what it would be like to be with another man. But they're just that...fantasies. My life would never be complete without him in it. Like Quank were also from very different social classes, background, religion, etc. etc. But we're a true match. Our life goals are the same and our philosophies on so many different things are the same. We've accepted our weaknesses. So why stay married? For the simple reason that I wouldn't want to continue living without him in my life. I'd carry on but the joy would be gone for me. I waited a long time for him.
Outcast
EW. Good looking + Gumby don't outweigh hard labour in the sticks. On second thought, keep him. And the barn I'm a city gal.

They look really sweet with their little burro faces.
beach
A He came up with this crap line though : because I want to make you happy and when you are happy I am happy......... :lmao: This is a very real mental thought for a man that really does love you! Most husbands are only happy when they KNOW they can make their wife happy. If they fail in this area - they will always feel inadequate... Just my 2 cents worth - but seems to be the truth with all the men I know and love... which is quite a few (large family of a bunch of men and my best friends husbands). The men try sooooo hard to please the wife (if she is good to him and makes his life a joy) - they really do just want us to be happy - and that - in turn - makes them happy and they feel validated... and important. Geez, good jewels can get a guy laid good and hard for a month or so... he he I don't know how they cannot get it.. hell, take out chinese as a surprise would make me happy at this point...... I make all the decisions around here, I suppose that is what I am tired of. Where we go, what to eat, what needs to be done, what can be put off........ So as of today I am taking on the role of a complete idiot...... and I plan to not do a thing about anything unless requested to do so by him..... such as get the tire fixed on the heavy equip. transport trailer..... not my problem............ nopers..... ya see I spoiled him too much. Now I am paying for it. I think I will do my nails today (that'll be the day)
Mz. Pixie
Yeah well if he wants to be happy because I am happy he knows where the jewelry store is......... :lmao: Luckily for me, my H does get this concept!!!! I have alot of jewelry-not all from him- from previous marriage, boyfriends, my grandmother and my dad buying me stuff. I think he'd prefer if I would sell everything except what he has gotten me. I just can't though, each piece means something. I did get rid of my wedding ring from the prior marriage but that's as far as I'm going.
