My cousin 'LIKES' me

Recommended Posts

I have a bit of a dilemma-my second cousin is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY HOTTT! He was up for a week from Canada. He's only two years older than me-i'm 14-he's 16. He smiled at me a lot and he was flirting with me and glanced over a lot at me. when he left today he gave me a rather intimate hug that turned into a tender kiss-he then had a boner. He said I should go up to visit him. I know we're both second cousins but we both have really deep feelings for eachother. What should i do??

My philosophy is when the branches of the family tree start to touch each other, there's a problem.

Do not go there. It's a bad idea.

Nope. Don't do it...It's just wrong to mess around with your cousin. And, if you two get caught, just imagine everybody's reaction in your families.

If you do this, It will cause a lot of problems in the family, and end up being a LOT more trouble than its worth.

Give your self a few months to think about this, once your a little more level headed you will be able to approach this situation with a more logical perspective... and so will your cousin.

GROSS. Honestly, there isn't such a shortage of men that you have to resort to your family. Would you have sex with your brother? Honestly, this will cause more trouble than its worth.

But i have heard that its accepted in some parts over there- honestly if you did it here (australia) well, you wouldn't do it here....

Completely disregarding all opinions about 'stupid American bias' or 'heebie jeebies' I would urge you not to do it simply because of how awkward it could be at future family reunions. You don't want to take the chance that this could be one of those many relationships where things get totally screwed up and nasty (like many teenage romances do) because then all your relatives will know the intimate details, and you'll be stuck seeing and knowing him for the rest of your life.

2nd cousins don't count. it's really no big deal

But if you reproduce the chances of having something wrong with the baby is alot higher than if you weren't related.

It just is wrong. And it will cause alot of heartache in your family if you choose to pursue your cousin.

It seems like a lot of people of misconception of cousin relationships. It is accepted in MANY MANY societies. First cousin marriage is legal in 20 something states in the U.S.- including liberal states like NY and Mass.

I can see why marriage within a family can work better than marriage outside the family.

Having said that- I think it's a REALLY REALLY bad idea- specially at your age.

Guy's, it could be clumsy, so that's a good reason not to do it, but the incest accusation is a bit much. This is SECOND cousins we're talking about here. It's the furthest relation most people ever know about. People have second cousins they don't even know about. IIRC, a second cousin is your parent's cousin's child. Your families are seperated by at least three generations. I don't even think genetic testing can recognize a second cousin, and I know the law doesn't think a second cousin is a problem, so don't go nuts with the incest accusation here.

I always thought a second cousin was the son/daughter of your first cousin.

My aunt had 2 kids, they're both my FIRST cousins. Then, they have a child, their child becomes my SECOND cousin.

a second cousin is your parent's cousin's child

That means the blood is less related, more of a distant cousin, rather than close blood relative.

You've gotta admit that kissing cousins are kinda hot

Male, male? Female, female? Or male, female? Be specific, eh! :p

That is what I thought a second cousin was, too. If that is so, then as far as genetics, it may cause problems. It is not considered incest...even in America.

If as a second cousin you mean, a child of your parent's cousin, then it is actually permissible. In many cases, they are not even thought of as cousins. I know I had a close relationship with a third cousin...strictly platonic...and her mother was kinda pushing us in that direction. No, nothing ever happened.

I would not be opposed to this relationship, but you know your family dynamics. That is what I would be concerned about.

PS Let's not forget that in the Dog Show World, it is desirable to practice inline breeding or as we call it, incest, to create beautiful dogs.

Yes. And ofcourse family dynamtics play a roll too. Unless you're in one of the 20 states which thinks it's OK........

That's a first cousin once removed I think. Cousins are in the same generation as you. A different generation makes for a "removed" suffix.

God, you're only 14! You're just developing sexually and starting to think about boys and stuff and this is kind of exciting when you're that age but you haven't even begun to live yet. If you just want to be kissing cousins thats fine but don't get serious with him. You don't need to get serious with anyone for a while yet. Just look around and keep your options open.

Before you turn this story into a Romeo & Juliet one, think twice about it. What if you get pregnant?

If you don't intend to have sex with him, then why are we discussing this case at all? But given his boner, you don't sound like you're immune to the idea of sex. Aren't you a wee bit too young to get engaged in it? How are you going to protect yourself from pregnancy and STD's? Condoms blow up sometimes, especially with unexperienced boys.

Besides, the pressure of the long distance between you two would leave a sour taste in your mouth about being used as a toy then forgotten. You are blinded with attraction now, but I am afraid you will travel to Canada just to give him pussy and come back. Then you will miss him, be jealous, and when you realize that many other girls find him hot also (and he finds THEM hot too), you will end up broken-hearted.

All together, not a good idea. Wait a few weeks and you'll get him out of your mind. In this case, it's really better to NOT do anything. What will you get by hooking up with him except a little bit of pleasure and a lot of pain?
