rakudesigner1114
Hi, I am a first year grad student in Mental Health Counseling with an assignment to ask a counselor 16 questions for a group paper. I live a fairly remote city and can't drive to meet anyone in person because I am near delivery of my child. If anyone can help me, would appreciate it greatly. The requirements are to answer 10-20 questions about your field. You must be a licensed mental health provider in practice for at least 5 years. Please serious inquiries only. Please provide a few sentences for each answer. Thanks! 1. Why did you choose counseling/therapy? 2. What has been the most difficult part of counseling that you have had to 'get used to?' 3. Why did you want to specialize? 4. What do you consider your strengths that you bring to the table for your clients? 5. Describe an unethical situation in which you were faced with? 6. Are you a member of any professional organization? 7. Is your job hard? Does it make you sad? Happy? 8. How are you able to separate wanting to give good advice and listening? Meaning, most people are looking for a solution but as their therapist, you can't really direct them, how do you handle that urge to jump in and direct them? 9. How do you view the Hollywood portrayal of psychologists, therapists, etc? Do you think it's accurate? 10. Do you think most marriages can be saved? 11. How do you juggle the CEU's for your profession? 12. Do you ever feel emotionally exhausted from your job? 13. Are you a believer in brief counseling? 14. Do the insurance companies make it difficult to be a therapist? 15. Walk me through a typical day, how many appts do you take, how do you handle late appts, what if you are not getting anywhere with a client, do you redirect? how? etc. 16. Are you a believer in virtual counseling? Why or why not? You may email me at XXXXXXXXX with your name and answers. I really appreciate anyone who can help me with this assignment.
