Wondering if he is ready for the next level

Wondering if I am reading the signals right. Me and friend of mine, who I work with have been getting closer, I guess you can say, anyway I have had a crush on him for awhile and have been trying to figure out if he feels the same way. Well last week he was my area to help me out. He went out of his way to get me whatever I needed, but he wasn't that way with everyone else. This one time I needed something and he went out of his to get it for me. He called me and started to tell me something was wrong with the item and has he was doing this he said, "what do I get for all the thngs I got for you today, dinner?" Which I felt was him asking me out in his way of trying to feel me out and see if I am interested, coz normally he would say lunch since we work during the day. Anyway I joked around with him for a few seconds and then he said "I am just teasing you" and I told him ok I will buy him lunch.

 

A group of us had planned to go hang out after work and I asked if he was going and he said no, and then a few minutes later he asked if I was going and I said probably. Left it at that, but later I emailed him and said" oh you got better things to do than go and hung out, I see how you are" then he emails me back and no he is going and for me to call him later the next day, as he was going to be at his dads house all day. Well, I call him and he tells me is stuck in traffic and he is on his way to change and he will call me when he is one his way. A few hours later the group is waiting at the bar and he calls me and tells me he is on his way. When he gets there he greets everyone and then he stands behind me for the rest of the time we were at the bar, as we are leaving to go another place he hangs back and waits for me, as I am the last one leaving the bar area, and he walk behind the rest of the group talking and then the group stops and waits for us to catch up. The rest of the evening he was kind of being standoffish, I guess you can say. When he gets ready to leave, he tells everyone that he is leaving but lingers for a few moments and then I decide to excuse myself and that was when he was heading for the door, we were walking and somone else walked with to get a drink but me and him continued walking back into the building, he opened the door for me and I was going to walk him to his car but then another co worker came up to us kinda of ruined it.

Are these signs that he may be thinking about or wants to take it to the next level? Any thoughts?
