Hi,

I'd like to ask if anyone knows where to meet classy sophisticated girls. I'm looking for women from the ages from about 24-30(I'm 30). I don't really like the women who go to clubs/pubs(usually)

and my friends are mostly married now so I've got no-one to go with anyway. I've heard people suggest church, but how can you just turn up to any church? I thought about tennis clubs but the age range is too great I think(you'll probably end up playing with 55 year olds?)Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

You mean you don't want a gal who will rip your clothes off and take you to bed the first date?

We should revoke your man card!!!:p

You can find them in books and movies.

Places with names like The Booby Trap or Cheetah's are usually good....

Define 'classy and sophisticated'. And explain how you are.

Most classy, sophisticated girls would not like a person who makes generalizations about the type of women who go to clubs and pubs.

You can meet classy ladies anywhere. And you can also meet sluts...yep, right there in the new pew at church. It's up to you to ferret them out. Hey, bub, if guys could be steered directly to the place where they could meet the girl of their dreams...wouldn't that be nice???

OK, now I will give you this, your chances are perhaps slightly better of meeting an intelligent girl at a library or one who likes to cook at a supermarket or one who likes fast cars at an auto show.

Sure you can TONY...as long as you have the Mercedes, mansion and country club membership you'll meet lots of classy and attractive women.

But don't leave the American Express card at home

That's what I'm saying.

Classy = status = money.

Classy = status = money.

If you have to ask how much a truly classy lady costs....then you can't afford her.

I guess I'm naive when I think of "Classy or Sophisticated" I think of Audrey Hepburn. Or a independent, good-hearted woman, with a good sense of being tasteful.

You don't need money for that. I guess the OP needs to define is definition.

To which I totally agree.

Unfortunately, she's really dead.

you mean Ms. Hepburn's on-screen persona. she was an actress, after all...

Or a independent, good-hearted woman, with a good sense of being tasteful.

Taste usually requires money, sister... Its a lot easier to have "taste" and look "classy" when you're driving around town in a Rolls Royce vs. a beat up rusted out 1989 Ford Escort.

Money is what it takes. There's no way around it. Oh, and a nice car. And a good job. Without those things, you're going to have to go for non-classy women. The closest you'd probably get is maybe a used up old prostitute.

When you write "classy and sophisticated" you can, with only one more keystroke, write "shallow and materialistic". Same thing.

Classy and sophicated is defined by the individual doing the seeking.

Is it a woman who can hoot and howl at a college football game, shoot back the Jack Daniels when it's passed to her. After that game is over, get home, get dressed, and head out to the ballet in a gown?

Classy and sophicated are subjective to every individual.

So what do you define as classy?

Tony T is right...they are everywhere.:D

Ever been in a "Borders" or "Barnes and Noble" on a Friday or Saturday night? (These are large US book store chains.)

When I think of Audrey I think more of her off screen doings before she died. Not her movie roles.

Actually I think it's in very good taste to be cruising around in a old muscle car. It's all in our perspective of what is Classy. I would pick a 1968 Dart GT over a Rolls Royce any day! I would not feel any less classy of woman being in a 89 rust bucket than a Rolls Royce a car does not make me a classy woman!

Just be sure to pay for your Forbes magazine with your gold card. And, even if you have to rent it, show up in a jet black Mercedes. That's how you get the classy and sophisticated women.

Again, books or movies.

What if the woman is independent, has her own Jag, educated, loves the arts, maintains a beautiful home, loves sports, a great entertainer, great group of friends....does that make her shallow and materialistic? I don't think so.

Class and sophistication is a state of mind. If you can afford those things without going into debt: then do it!

And if you have to use credit cards for everything....then you are just plain keeping up with the Jones'

By the way, if you have to give her your money directly, she is not classy or sophisticated. You must find roundabout ways of sharing your riches by providing sparkly flashy things she can be near. Which means you must be sparkly and flashy yourself if you want her to be near you. If you can get your dick gold plated, you'll land a top-notch honey.

It's all about the money. Money and cars. That's what you need. Money and cars. Money. And cars. That's it. Money and cars. Money and cars. You need money and cars. Hey, I'm starting to believe this! If you repeat it enough, it starts to take root. It starts to become part of your persona(lity), even.

I wouldn't risk it, personally. You're better off keeping it simple. Money and cars. Let her bring all that other crap.

Now I'm confused. I've always assumed a "classy" lady would be paying for me. :o

Try places like theaters, museums, galleries, women's apparel stores, restaurants where they might go out and have lunch. Join some clubs (whatever attracts you) and you'll meet new people who might introduce you to some classy woman.

In any case, don't go for a classy and sophisticated woman if you're not classy and well-educated yourself! If you're looking for a woman who will be just honest and faithful - that's nothing to do with class. You can meet a nice lady in Wawa too.

Lottery winners own Rolls Royces. Drug dealers have memberships in exclusive country clubs. Footballers own sprawling mansions. All those people are evidence of the fact that far from buying "class", money often does little more than draw attention to its absence.

Fascinating. I never associated 'cash' with 'class'. The richest people can be trashy as all getout and there can be 'classy' poor folk.

'Class' means, IMHO, the Audrey Hepburn persona - on-screen and off. Gracious, gentle, polite. The opposite of 'crass'. It was pretty darn classy of her to be continuing to work for kids' causes while she battled cancer, IMHO.

As for 'sophisticated', it generally refers to education and culture; a person who's acquainted with the arts, mostly. You don't need to be wealthy to attend a symphony or visit an art museum, however.

But, as one poster stated, you aren't much likely to attract a person like that if you have none of the qualities yourself.
