Guest Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I broke up with my gf several weeks ago. We were dating and started a long distance relationship for about 8 months. Everything was going great until about a month ago (I took a 2 week vacation to see her), I could sense somethin had changed. The vacation was awkward and different from what we had experienced before. We talked everyday for the 8 months sometimes 3-4 hrs a day and it was never like this. I was up there 3 weeks prior and everything was perfect. The whole time we dated she was telling me they are just friends and he hangs out in their group of girls. I beleived for the most part this was true. Well I left the vacation to come back home and I was very weary and had doubts at this point. There were nights I could swear the two of them were hanging out. Even pictures on myspace seemed to indicate this. We talked for a few weeks after I left but she was telling me that her feelings have changed she was confused and needed time and space. So I allowed this for a small period of time. As time went on our communication deteriorated and she was going out to the bars alot more. A few times I brought up the topic of a break but she avoided answering. I tried the apology route, made myself feel like I actually did something wrong and it basically got to a point where I broke up with her cause I felt like I was being shelfed in the #2 position. In a long distance relationship I can't feel distant in this way. I felt like things got to a point where I was in a wait and see pattern. I really didn't want to break up with her but I felt like I was being pushed into 2nd place. A week later I made first contact with her and she called back we talked 20-30 mins on the phone. I ended the conversation and this seemed to piss her off. A week more passed and we talked briefly on msn . Then wrote her an email calling out all the crap she pulled in the last month. This got everything off my chest that bothered me. Once again this pissed her off but now I have every indication now that she is back together were her ex bf. However I can tell she still blocks and unblocks me on msn. Changes her names on MSN to aggitate me. These are all signs that shes mad and still cares (if im right anger and emotion if a sign of attachment). After the email laying out everything on the table, after an email being sincere saying if u ever need anything call me, and after our phone conversation we haven't had any contact for about a week and a half. The question I ask you guys is it possible to reconnect with her? I know there are still feelings there that we both have? For those of you that have gone back to the ex's .... Could it be possible she was confused and breaking up with her will make her realize what shes losing...rather then sticking around and playing the waiting game. Ive decided to go out, have fun, show this on myspace... and play the NC game for awhile. Make it look like Ive moved on..... I knew in my heart that if I stayed around and he was even involved in the picture that it would never work out. In the end I would be the one that was dragged down ... which almost happened. Any suggestions on the next course of action?

I am so sorry, the title of this thread is killing me, not to mention the laughing smilie. Ok, she leaves you for her ex. Just wait it out, your turn will come too, she'll be back, she seems rather fond of exes... lol. rodney Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 LOL It is kinda funny I don't know what ex # I am LOL. I think it comes down to a long distance thing.... Im not sure he was 100% out of the picture when we started dating. Im not waiting either cause I have already started dating again. I still have strong feelings for her but I feel like the NC approach is probably not best with the distance. Im making my dating life evident thru myspace. Im just glad I stood up for myself and ended things before they got any worse. So confusing lol
