Separated Soon To Be Divorced

Recommended Posts

Guys that "walk the walk, and talk the talk" don't brag nor talk about it to others that don't. The phrase, "No brag! Just Fact!" applies. Its a profile if you prefer, a mental makeup, a mental attitude. Their body language speaks for them loudly, and its almost as if they've got a hugh flashing sign over their heads that says, "Fear Ye, Who Enters Here!"

You don't have to be an eighth degree black belt to have it (many of them don't) nor do you have to have gone through Special Forces training. You could be a seasoned street fighter from East LA or South Philly or a serious gang banger (not all of them have it either). ilmw knows the "guy" that I'm talking about it, he's the leader, the Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, the guy who knows difference between fighting and combat. Who's more than willing to rip you nuts off with his bare teeth, without a second thought! The guy you shoot, or beam with a 2 x 4 and it just p***** him off even more.

Now take that guy, and put him through Ranger School, etc.

You know he's this kind of guy by his actions and body language, not his words. Its his posture and bearing (how he carries himself) that speaks for him. He doesn't talk, he does. He doesn't go looking for trouble, but he doesn't run from it.

Today would have been out 12yr anniversary, but as they sat "nothing lasts forever".

I'm having a tough time, I still shake my head & think W.T.F. happened, how could I let such a bad thing go un noticed befor it became to late? I don't feel sorry for myself, I am discusted & ashamed. My friends tell me that they miss the old me. The strong confident one who helped anyone & every one who asked. Now I can't seem to help myself.

I miss our family & so do the kids. They were all here last night, it really felt good to be with them.

I know that I need to move on.I know my XW has. I'm sure she is enjoying her new found freedom & wealth with the O.M. I know that I should'nt concern myself with this, but I guess it's just the way I am. It eats at me like a cancer.I pray for this to end.......

I know exactally the place your in ~ its not fun, and its not pretty.

You can get trapped there if you're not careful.

I could sit here and write volumes about it, but the simple truth is that you, and only you have to make the conscisious decision to pick yourself up, and move forward ~ to move on in your life, and you and only you can make that decision.

Its pretty much the "emotional" equivalent of the guy that got stuck up in the mountains, his arm trapped under a boulder, and he had to make the decision to preform a self-amputation in order to survie and live.

Ouuch yeah Gunns... that is decission time!

I was just going to compare it to going on a run... you are getting tired.. in your mind you hear the voices saying... "ahhh.. why are you doing this to your body.. your tired... you hurt.. you want to puke..." "just walk...give up... its not that bad" The voice of doubt. Its at that point you have to dig down and say "screw this" and give er!! Then puke and fall down and weeezz. But you did it right.

No one can make you run... unless they have a gun to your head:p

You have to do it for you! Simple as that. Well not simple ...but you get my drift.;)

I've been riding my bike and there has been times I plan on riding to a certain place or distinatino and I get tired and think to myself; self why not just turn around here, who would know you didn't make it to your distination? If someone asked you, you can say I made it and they will say; good for you that was a good job, but the only person you are fooling is yourself and the only person that matters is YOU!!!!

I had my first date tonght. It has been 6months since my wife left. The divorse was final this week, this I am sure of this time!!!

We went out for dinner & then a movie. I had a nice time, but today would have been our 12 th anniversary.

I was honest with mt date from the start, told her this was our anniversary and thit I'm still not sure of my lifes outcome. She was very understanding about this.

She too was newly divorced. After talking till2:00 AM I told her I must get home, gave her a hug,and told her that will go out for dinner again.

I miss my wife & family, nothing right now will change that, only TIME wiil tell.

Last Sunday I was at my inlaws place to get my boat out of the water. I keep it there for the kids & my brother inlaw to use.when I don't.I didn't realize that mt XW would be there untill that morning. She knew that I was going to be there at some point & was O.K. with that. Well the weather was crappy & rainy so I didn't get the boat but was invited to stay for dinner, so I did .It was kind of uncomfortable but my X & I were nice to each other. The next day I called my father inlaw to appologize for being there & that Ididn't plan being there for dinner. He told me that everything was fine & that a good time was had by all & it was good to see my X & I to get along during that time.

Last night my X dropped her daughter off at my house & actually came in & stayed for a few minutes, usually if I'm home she doesn't come in. It was just nice to see her even though she can't seem to look me in the eyes anymore.

I do miss her even after all thats happened. It's been over a month since I have seen or talked to her.......TIME....TIME ....TIME could it be on my side?

Almost sounds like a "set-up", DO NOT go back over there except to get your boat, do that without notice, so this can't be sprung on you again. Seriously, Have you heard that saying, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I wouldn't go back to her, If I were you, like I said before, besides she has COST you enough money, heartache, pain and suffering, worry, turmoil, etc. already. Need I go on with this......?

Other that this..... Hows everything going? With other Lady?

Well there is 2 other ladies one who I would really would like to get to know & one I don't think I need to get to close to.

The one I would like to get to know is being distant, and I can understand because she is divorced from a cheating H. The 2nd is from the same but with 3 kids of her own, I have already done that and I don't think I can do that again. So I'm just going along trying to find myself right now.

Thanks for asking.....

Today there is a different happening in the family. My daughter would like to move in with me. I told here that I was O.K. with that. She told her mom & that was great with her. My S daughter said " I hope you are O.K./ with us living with my step dad since you don't visit us much" my X said that she can handle anything & she was fine with the new arrangements.

Is this out of the ordanary ,my life seemes to be that way lately.

Any advice?????

Yea!

You're throwing these "terms" such as "step-daughter" etc around as if they mean something.

Well in your particular case it does!

It means she identifies you as her "father"

It means she trust you!

It means she depends upon you!

It mean's that she cares about you!

It mean's that she needs you in her life!

It mean's that she wants you in your life!

It mean's that she values you and your input!

It means that she care and gives a damn about you!

It means she's a lifelong friend!

It means that she gives a "damn" about you!

It means you're a good man, and you've got values, ethics, and that you're above most men!

It means that she loves you for who and what you are, as you are, as she understands you to be as you are!

I'm definately not imprressed.

The Army gives out Achievement and Commendations like cotton candy to the kiddies at the county fair.

I've got four Navy Achievement Medals, and two Navy Commendations. To get them cost me my wife and family, working a minimum of sixty hours and more often than not eighty hour weeks. At the time, I wasn't trying to win any medals, I was just trying to survive, doing what I had to do to keep my head above water. In short, I put my carrer in the Marines above and beyond that of my wife, because I saw my primarry role as being that of a provider, not understanding (thanks a4a and Lady Jane, Lor, and Dgirl) "emotional needs" ~ ad nausesum.

I see a Navy Acheivement Medal ribbion on a Marine? I'm impressed! A three star general had to sign off on that. Which means a Lt. a Major, a Lt/Col, a Col, (in the Marine Corps there are only 600 of them) a Brigder General, and a Lt. Gen had to sign off on it! They don't give NAM's out like cotton candy! You've got to earn it, and we're talking "blood, sweat, and tears! We're talking pain!

Sounds like a pile of bu** sh*t...

I have to agree with gunny..(again)

and it sounds like it easier to get a medal in the national guard than it is to get a merit badge in the Boy Scouts...

I Canada I think our reservists actually have to go to combat to get any form of medal.... and they probably have to get killed..

I know when I was in the BritishArmy... the only way you got one was to stay in for along time and get good conduct medals... or as with Canadians .. have to be put in harms way.. UN Medals.. Northern Ireland Medals... Falklands Islands Medal... (harms way... or the potential) The last 3 are campaigne medals.... that is what you tend to see on a lot of veterans... (at least the Commonwealth ones)

Oh well.. enough about that...

Umm just out of curiostiy... why did you post that resume? Other than to get gunny and myself anxious...

That's pretty odd ~ the Army (NG) love putting every little piece of ribbion and patch they can on their uniform even their cammies. Hell, they put on on their ass if they could get away with it. Marines didn't have anything on their cammies for years (up until the first Gulf war) except their rank insigina on their collors and the Marine Corps emblem on their left brast procket. Those that are jumped quialifed, and pilots and EOD could wear their badges. We didn't even have the Marines and Name Tabs on them, (we tend to be smart enough to remember our own last name and what branch of service we enlisted in without having to look down to remind ourselves)

The Army has more crap on ther uniform as much as an Eagle Scout.

Doesn't say much for someone who SUPPOSELY has the below qualifications ~ especially during war time (promotions happen quick!) Hell, I went from private to sergeant in three years in the Marines duing peace time! This tells me he's a bit of a screw up

One weekend every month training on various military techniques

Have you ever seen these. They sit around and shoot the breeze

So? He went and gave out bottled water, and MRE's (Meal Ready To Eat. I went to Hurricane Andrew Relief ~ The Army sent and entire division (20,000 men). The camps they set up for the civilians looked like a bunch of Bedouin camel jockeys and it took them weeks to set it up. We set our up in three days, and when the Mayor of Homestead saw how effecient and organized we were, he told the Army Commanding Genral that he wanted the Marines to take over. The first night in town, the NG has five of the M-16 AUTOMATIC rifles and ammo taken away from them by a bunch of gangbangers. They tried that with some our guys and two of the gangbangers ended up in th hospital one with a broken jaw and the other with broken ribs which they received from Marines at the butt of the rifles they were trying to take. )

I KNOW this is BS! If he didn't make it pass pre-ranger training, why the Hell would they ask him to join First Special Forces, and if he had what it takes, they wouldn't ASK him, they would ORDER him, and his butt wouldn't be where he's at today ~ he would be forward deployed overseas

I am not one to slam someone I do not know ... but this is too much fun..espeacilly someone like this...:p

In regards to Gulf War 1... The British Army did the exact same thing... started to put Div insignia on the boys and girls who went out there.. They even gave them little "desert rats" badges the wore on their sleeves... a throw back to the African campaigne... during ww2.. Rommel and Montgomery...etc..

But I leave on this note.... Gunny has the US military background.. and knows more than I do...on this stuff... but... I know bu#l sh*t when I sees it...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Bul% shi*ters are the same no matter what side of the pond they live on... have met them in Canada too. Once met this guy... who apparently served as a cook in the Canadian Military.... he was trying to impress some "chicks".. he was going on about how he had killed some body over in Bosinia as he was a sniper too... Umm they don't train cooks to snipe... it interfers with them cooking stew.. for the troops..

BTW... the Canadian Army has some of the best cooks..... :p and the best field rations of any I have tried... and that includes German.. Britsh and US...:D

Getting off topic arn't we..:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I was wandering if I should send them to my wife annonomously, I think maybe that would make her think about things...... I don't know.

I really think he is playing her, somtimes she can be very gullible.

What do you think????? FP

People who don't know anything about the military are not necessarily gullible... then again I don't know your W..:)

I do know that when I was much younger like 16-17 and in the army over in the UK.. I was in a training regiment called (THe Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Armored Corps)... that was not cool enough so we used to call it "(Jungle Light Regiment Royal Army Commandos)... The girls loved it...:D

Alot of people have romantic ideas of the military... and it is easy to make/intensify that romantasim or mystery... by glorifying ones self or ones position... I think I clearly demonstrated this....

I could go on and on.. about what I have seen and done..and that would only have to be up to the age of 20.... and it would amaze most people... but I don't.... cause... its to me boring... ask anyone who has done real time in any real military... its just a job after awhile..

BTW.. my resume' makes that OG's look like a complete loser... (pats himself on the head with a knowing look in his eye)

Now how do you compare... to the OG... Im sure your resume' outshines his... Your the man... (this is mental attitude).. project it... Be that man :)

I'm getting tired and am rambling on.... so I'll shut up now

Nawww! You've got a crediabilty gap with her. You could be Jesus and he the Son of Satan, and it wouldn't do any good to point it out to her.

I wasn't discuin' someone I don't know, but one thing I do know and recoginze is BS!

Warriors don't talk smack. They don't brag. They do. I was at a dance once with a bud of mine, who was dyed in the wool Specail Forces, (I never was, never have been ~ he was just my bud). Some young Marine was fixing to come and blind side me because I had danced with "his" girl. I had my back to the "kid" and was talking to another friend of mine, and had my back to him. All of a sudden, I heard Randy say, "You don't want any of this ~ you just don't!" I turned and he had the kids hand in the air holding a beer bottle.

Me? I was in logistics. I not a freaking Rambo. I went through some serious training. Did the mountain warfare, jungle warfare, and desert warfare school. I've been through POW school, and escape and evasion school. It was just training. I've got a clue. Doesn't make me freaking Rambo. I've repelled out of helicopters, and off of mountains, doesn't make me Rambo.

Rambo! I'll can tell you about him. First Sergeant V, United States Marine Corps ~ Force Recon. Made a jump, fell into a powerline, amputaed his left leg below the knee. Put in a petiton to stay in the Marine Corps, ran the Marine "Recon" PFT (six miles) in record time took his prostectic off and pour off about a cup a blood like it was cool!

All I could say was ~ DAMN!
