I hate plucking my eyebrows, they always come out different. How do I avoid this problem? Last night I bought wax strips by Sally Hanson and they sucked, the kit did not include the euebrow shaped strip so I had to cut it and it got messy and my whoel face was sticky and icky. Does anyone have an advise for gettign your eyebrows perfectly shaped. Anyone done, threading.....I've never been to a salon before and don't know what to expect.

Thanks

Ya, the salon people will always have good insight. Unless you have something specific you want, just trust them they will do a decent job.

I remember in high school one of my friends let my other friend wax her eyebrow and she took too much from between the eyes. My friend lost like half her eyebrow, omg. I don't know how that happened, but it was horrible. She looked like a freak.

Walk in, they sit you down, apply the wax, rip it off in one quick motion, tweeze a few strays and your out of there. It only takes five minutes.

I usually do my own, and my friends... and their fake tans, hair colours, bikini waxes, you name it... I should start charging them and declare my house as a business...

saw my niece get it done last month, and it was pretty interesting. From what I understand, the hair that grow back is a lot softer/thinner, so it becomes less painful each time you get it done. And it looks really clean, too.

one of the local hair places charges $10 to get it done, which is not bad for less than 10 minutes of work!

Ha! lol

I'm a hetro male who's eybrows had got a bit bushy over the years and wanted them sorting out, went to a salon, I'm in the UK but what they charged me worked out at $9.49 so costs the same either side of the pond. It was a larff and I'm real pleased with my new streamlined brows, get em done professionaly is what I say.

Don't know what your worried about. 10 mins with an attractive woman making you laugh and chatting, slight discomfort and 2 months of an improved appearance. Stop being so blinkered men and go out an pamper yourselfs, if it's good enough for the girls no reason why it can't be good for us!

I'm just not that vain. But, hey, to each his own, right?

It doesn't actually hurt much at all and if the gal's any good, she massages you right away with lotion and the sting goes. Plus, they look GREAT. However there's no WAY I'm letting hot wax get ripped off any other bit of my body

I get mine done every few months and then maintain them myself until I can't see the nice shape anymore. I seem to never be able to get the two even - wonder why I'm not an artist :lmao:

Yu asked about threading? I highly recommend it.

It doesn't hurt except for above the lip area. Mostly, that part just makes your eyes tear.

The woman basically takes a piece of thread wraps it to one or two fingers on each hand and it somehow loops so that when it is flat on the skin it pulls out several hairs at a time when she stretches out the thread.

You gotta see for yourself, worth it.

I find threading the most economical and it offers long lasing results. Hair doesn't seem to grow back as fast. And, I have never had a rash like one does after waxing.

Hint, try using a vitamin E cream or oil over the area before bedtime. This will prevent any irritation and it leaves your skin feeling like silk in the morning.

A woman, breast-level, leaning over your face. Yeah, that's a real tough one, guys. Not for wimps, to be sure. Returning's no fool.

Wish my H would go.

As another hetero guy, I've had mine done at a salon before...its really fast like 5-10 mins tops...

They also put this stuff on that numbs your skin so it doesn't hurt nearly as much as if you were to do it at home.... Just expect some redness around your eyes for a half hour or so after.

Eye brows are most beautiful when they are not plucked at all.

You haven't seen mine :lmao: I do have a friend, though, who has perfectly shaped, gorgeous brows and never needs to pluck them. She was born with 'em. Wretch

True, I have not seen yours. But I DO honestly think that every woman has gorgeous brows, if she lets them be.

I have never had a woman agree with me though. They staunchly want to make the brows thinner , except for the 1st cm. The dedicated try making them more circular and even increase the distance between the brows.

Unfortunately, finding full eye brows beautiful and wishing to daily appreciate their beauty, clearly diminishes my dating pool.:(

LOL- wait.... EYEBROWS have reduced your dating pool?!

:lmao: add this to the dealbreaker thread... see how it goes down.

See, that assumes there is one :lmao:

I didn't mention that possibility because I did not want start drooling.

If I met a woman with a unibrow, I would be over her like white on egg.
