Fun2BMe
If the employer is keeping her in order to avoid paying out unemployment, then do some research into what would disqualify her from collecting should she be fired. Our system is so messed up at times. So is your boss for keeping such an employee around.
Author luvtoto
hell can I have a job...... I sure could use some pocket money that I can just snatch from the drawer! Well, let's say he presses charges on her...then, later finds out that the charges fell through due to reasonable doubt. I mean, she is not the only one who has access to the cash drawer. No matter how much I say that she is taking the money...will it hold up in court. He just sees her as "innocent till proven guilty". I guess the proof I have given him isn't enough for him yet. The cash drawer came out awesome today! Maybe she is getting the picture. If I am watching her like a damn hawk, that is. Resentment is building..................

superconductor
I hear ya, SC. But, there is too much reasonable-doubt in the case. Could've been the pharmacy's mistake. HIGHLY unlikely though! That's not your decision to make. It's up to the police. Stealing drugs is a BIG no-no.
Guest
That's not your decision to make. It's up to the police. Stealing drugs is a BIG no-no. At the risk of having the police and everyone at her work thinking she is nuts for being that paranoid over 6 pills. Honestly, I don't think the "dope girl" will get fired in the long run. It looks like luv is most likely to get fired here. Pharmacy is usually off on pills anyways. I think you are making a big deal out of nothing.
Author luvtoto
It looks like luv is most likely to get fired here. My theory: when in doubt, do nothing. It feels safer to me that way. I don't see how I would get fired though.
Rubber_Chicken
Your boss is either banging her or wants to bang her. No boss would take the side of a company thief unless he had his own interests in mind. He isn't stupid, He knows that letting her continue on this path after he was notified puts him in a pickle, if he fires her he can't bang her or continue to bang her. I personally would start filing police reports from here forward
Guest
The pharmacy did NOT make a mistake - when it comes to dispensing schedule 1,2 or three narcotics (which I am assuming is the case here for the severity of the surgery) the pharmacy will take extra care to ensure accuracy, you can dismiss this possibility... Additionaly, without concrete evidence (catching her red handed with several witness) it will be hard as others have said to prove she actually took them (which is nesscary) since it seems like the pill bottle changed hands quite a few times and other people may have had access to them...Depening on the state you live you might be in an employment at will state, in which case you need no reason to fire the employee...Further, I am not sure how things work in your part of the world but here in my state unemployment is paid for mostly by the state. If I were you I would drop the whole thing, Just be careful in the future! However....If you must seek retribution then try this... She seems to be the oppurtunistic type - Create a controled situation to catch her in the act! You can get creative with it, but leave something out that she will not be able to resist stealing then bust her! Just make sure no one but you knows about the setup, and make sure it doesnt look like a setup because its entrapment. Good luck -Bussiness owner, and former prescription pain pill addict (clean almost 6 years)
Rumbabe
Oh dear, that is not a nice thing to do, taking pain pills from somebody who needs them! I think you should totally avoid this girl at work, make it known that you are onto her, and that you are watching her, that should make her very jittery! Good Luck!
