"Feel Better About Your Life By Reading About How Crappy Mine Is!!!"

by John1776

Chapter 1

It began on a sunny august day while I was posting a guide in a community forum. Obviously people were not as smart as I had once assumed, because my thoughts were ridiculed and cast asunder by them. I at once called up my gf and explained that she HAD TO stop having sex with me. She agreed immediately, and to celebrate we both sucked down cap fulls of bleech. It was only after I had guzzled my liquid refreshment, that I realized my gf had faked drinking hers. But my dissappointment was soon forgotten, as the insiduous taste of the bleech lined my throat. ......................

I never would have thought it would be the way to go, but dont you remember the old saying, "Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free?"

Those women who are not giving it away have far better chances of getting proposed to, or anything else.

However you may feel about the idea, the truth is, like it or not...it works.

:lmao: I've been proposed to on more than one occassion, even though I'm only 26. Never been proposed to by a man I hadn't had sex with though.

My best friend often with holds sex from her hubby of 21 years if she wants a big ticket item (car, house, etc.) and she can't get him to buy it!

She'll say "you will not get any sex from me until you buy me that new car!"

It works every time, he caves by the 5th day! (He's a nice man though, and just wants her to be happy - and get the sex going again). :laugh:

I have told her many times over the years that THAT IS SO WRONG!

Oh well, some folks just have a different approach to things.... seems to work for them...:sick:

I would be weirded out the whole time I had sex with the person who was withholding, knowing that it's a tool for emotional blackmail for them....how can you even pretend that you're reaffirming your emotional intimacy?

I'm with you 2s, :sick:

It is true that a man has no compelling reason to get married if he's already getting the sex goods for free. Why buy the cow if you are already getting the milk for free? There's no motivation to do so.

You're assuming the only reason people marry is for sex? People marry because they want to build a life together, because they're crazy about each other, because they have a deep intimacy and want to affirm it with a commitment.

I don't think that's what sober means. Sex pretty much vanishes after the first year anyway in most cases, sooner if kids come along before that.

You're missing my point. If a man is already getting all the benefits of a marriage without being married then he'll have no motivation to get married.

And you're missing my point - there are many benefits to marriage that you don't get otherwise.

It depends on what benefits a man is looking for. Not all men want all of the benefits that marriage has to offer. Some benefits are more appealing than others. But who would want to buy the cow if they are already getting the milk for free?

I'm the type of person who is motivated to go to work when there is something I want and can only obtain through hard work. If I'm always getting food for free then I would have no motivation to go to work. I would become lazy. That's human nature. Same thing applies with a marriage. Benefits are suppose to come with responsibilities. If one is getting all the benefits without taking on the responsibilities then why should they want to marry? What would it do for them?

The only benefits of a spouse over a room-mate are intimacy and commitment. Not that those aren't major advantages, but in modern society where roughly half the marriages end in divorce (so much for many people's concept of "commitment") intimacy is a major deal.

Well your theory doesn't hold much weight considering how many people get married who have sex already.

I'm just saying! Maybe I'm just more aware of reality.

It sounds like youre globalizing your own worldview. a common error.

Why do you have to use tactics in order to get a guy to marry you? If a man wants to marry you he he will want to......

Hah, although I don't believe in marriage myself there are legal benefits:

- status as next-of-kin for hospital visits and medical decisions where one partner is too ill to be competent;

- joint insurance policies for home, auto and health;

- immigration and residency for partners from other countries;

- inheritance automatically in the absence of a will;

- joint leases with automatic renewal rights in the event one partner dies or leaves the house or apartment;

- inheritance of jointly-owned real and personal property through the right of survivorship (which avoids the time and expense and taxes in probate);

- spousal exemptions to property tax increases upon the death of one partner who is a co-owner of the home;

From my parents' marriage, going on 40 years:

- working together, united to achieve their joint life goals

- developing a deep, natural intimacy, openness, and acceptance - no holds barred, no thought too stupid, no dream to big or too small

- commitment to stick around and work through it even when they aren't liking each other at the moment - knowing that they're in it together as a team

- sharing each other's joys and sorrows knowing the other feels them just as deeply

Perhaps some people can have those things without marriage, but the marriage commitment is a promise that's it's all about US, and not ME and YOU, and it makes a huge difference.

Sorry but I don't see those as benefits. I see those as responsibilities. The only benefit to getting married is having sex. Now alot of women in america will let us guys get away with getting the sexual goods for free without a marriage license for 2,3, maybe 4 years at most. So men can get away with reaping benefits without responsiblities for a long while.

Sober dude, have a beer ! ( kidding) But I agree with Nora J on this one ! My parents have been married for 41 yrs and have the same responsibilities, trust, and yes LOVE that it sounds like hers do. I have NEVER been with a man who couldn't get sex just by picking up the phone, or his guitar. The fact that you tie marriage and sex together so closely must mean it's just not that easy for you. I have a higher sex dive than most of my past BF's and using that as a "weapon" would be like cutting of my nose to spite my face. Wanting something more from someone I love and honor and respect as my best friend, is not going to make me less horny, just more relaxed, excited and ready to plan a great future together !

I speak for myself when I say that I would want my girlfriend to withold sex from me if there was something she wanted that I was not giving her. That might be just what I need. Maybe I'll learn a lesson if she denies me for 2 months.

Sounds like a BDSM moment. You must like being submissive and denied the very things you need in life.

Your posts cry out for help.

Just get a blow up doll and pull it out of the closet when you need it. No need for hurt feelings or needing to tell the doll she is respected and loved.

Just remember she can't say No.

Call poison control, they might be of better help re: your bleach expermentation than us. If attention is what you are seeking, start out by being honest and then we can go from there. Are you for real?
