I mean we have alot of things in common, but he is really akward and a little nerdy. He's not your centerfold hot type that I used to go for. He has this internal confidence that I love, but acts much older than he is (all his friends are much older too), but he is younger than me. I'm 27, he's 22. Problem is twofold. First, I don't always find him physically attractive, but do see myself lusting for him. It's very confusing. It's like I am looking at the whole person and think he's super cute. Is this normal? The second problem is, I can't tell if he's into me. He is VERY shy and I'm very aggressive. So I call and email him and when we connect (either over the phone or in person) we talk for hours, but he doesn't always call me back and he checks his email sporadically. When I see him after the calls and ask him about calling me back he says "oh, well I got the message hours after you left it" or if it's a message about doing something and he doesn't get the message in time to do whatever it is, he just won't call me back. I know this may be a male thing but it's bugging me. Is this the brush off or is it just the way he is? He said a couple of times he's glad he met me, but nothing else.
