konfuzd
I was at a local art festival today, and I met an exceptionally talented artist, who happens also to be young and very attractive. His booth was one of the first I came across, and I started up some small talk about his work, his inspirations and what not. I knew I wanted to buy a print, but wanted to see the rest of the displays first, so I didn't have to carry my purchase around all day. I kept walking past his booth throughout the day, and it seemed as though he was on display as much as his art. lol. All the young girls were flocking to his booth. I figured there's probably little to no chance of him being single, judging by the attention he was getting. When I went back to buy the print, we engaged in some small talk, only to find out we are from the same home town and we are both passionate about the same music. Through the conversation, he told me about a music website he thought I should check out, so he gave me his business card and told me to e-mail him so he could give me the link to the website. At the same time, he handed me some flyers for some gallery openings and charity events he is involved in and said he'd really like it if I could come out. I got a pretty good vibe from our conversation, but I'm really not sure what the next step is here. I'm not very agressive, so I'm not really sure what the protocol is for a girl asking a guy out. Do I ask him in my e-mail, or do I just feed his ego a bit and hope that he takes the lead in his reply? I told him I might be interested in getting more prints in the future, so I'm not sure if he was interested in me as just a customer or maybe more. Any ideas?
Outcast
Go to some of the openings and see how he behaves towards you and how he behaves to others. It's possible that he is interested in you so go check it out. And certainly email him. Don't ask him out just yet but see how it goes in your next few interactions.
