Hey, if you don't have health insurance, or it's too expensive, well then I'm sure it's your fault. Come on, it's like, all about personal responsibility and stuff, people!!!

America has the best healthcare system in the world. If you don't agree, well then you're obviously a commie or a terrorist.

'The world hates us because we're free'.

And when you live in the real world, we'll listen.:(

Visit your local homeless shelter and listen to the stories. I'm not talking about the druggies and drunks. Listen to the families who're out on the streets even tho there was a decent job and an insurance plan. One serious illness, the job's gone, the insurance won't pay, and it's not that far down.

And now many health plans have a lifetime max. If your claims go above it then they cut you off. God help you if you have a serious chronic expensive disease...

See, Amerikajin, what happens, when you don't put the  at the end of a sarcastic post? Now all these folks think you're one of the guys you hate.

Why are all the news outlets going on nonstop about that karr guy instead of discussing our messed up healthcare system, which affects everyone directly and seriously?

I have a relative who is 64 and retired a year and a half ago from working at the same place for over 30 years, had health benefitsl. But last year she got diagnosed with cancer. The insurance covered very limited amounts, after which it was up to her to pay for additional treatments. She sold her house to basically buy time and hope and pay for additional chemo out of pocket.

She is with Kaiser too, one of the biggest healthcare providers. She went to The City of Hope where they only take cash payments. She's dropped hundreds of thousands and emptied out most of her retirement savings in the past few months. And this is with someone who does have so-called health coverage. Why is the news so consumed with petty non newsworthy items when the whole country is getting screwed over? When I think of my assets and cash savings, I know it's only a matter of time until I get sick and everything will go to pay for healthcare, after which you'll be eating canned foods if you could afford to, or die once you can't afford to continue treatment and you're still sick because your insurance is sure not going to help out.

But we're free, and we're kickin' some 'A-rab' butt.

:lmao: :lmao: I think I just peed my pants.

Hotgurl, you just need to take a hot bath. :lmao: just kidding. This is my mother's cure all. "Oh you just got shot in the gut by a 9mm handgun? Take a hot bath."

When is your next acupuncture appt? Is there an acupuncture school in the area? Or a massage school? They offer lower cost altenatives to private practitioners.

BO,

I wish I could take a bath. My neck gets so tight! My next appt is the last Wednesday in Sept. She has community day where you can just give donations which is nice and she has worked with me to reduce cost. I just sometimes feel like I'm taking advantage.

I do feel better today after acupunture and meditation.

A friend of mine used to be crippled with migraines often..... Peanuts were the key factor to the majority of them.

Very interesting. I've been eating peanut butter lately and experienced one of the worst migraines I've ever had. Thanks.

oh you so need to do this......or a new air tub!!

it is well worth the investment and your house will be better for resale if you go that route....... do not put in a reg size tub regardless unless you have no choice because of space.

hey and you can always throw the dishes in the jacuzzi and they will clean right up with those water jets! :lmao:

Sorry, ameri, if I missed your sarcasm, which I hope I did! But the way this country's going, it seems most live in lala land.

Agree about the media, fun.

And love the avvie, Ot!

Problem with neck pain is that many tubs' jets don't reach up that far and most shower jets don't work either. Has anyone else found this to be true or am I missing something? (besides amer's sarcasm:eek: ).

X-squeeze me I happen to live in Taintville.......not la la land. :p

But HG go try out some tubs before you buy. High end stores have the models and they do make some with neck jets. Get the make and model # and go shopping online to find the best deal.

Because the media is ratings based and thats all they care about. If you want real news watch PBS or BBC.

Yeah well that's the BS excuse they give us and I hope you are not buying into it. You mean to tell me if they start discussing into detail healthcare coverage, including your plan, the benefits and what to watch out for, have experts on who talk about how screwed we are getting, that the ratings are going to drop? I have had the news channel off ever since the whole Karr business started hogging up all the airwaves. I doubt I am in the minority because everyone is complaining about it, but they take the viewer as a fool and shove down our throats whatever is in their best interest to rot our minds with, distracting us from becoming too privy from the info that they gain financially from witholding from the public so that nothing gets changed. (yes I am sounding negative today, in not too good of a mood)

As to the OP I strongly agree with B-O that you need accunpture, for cheap at a acc. school. It really helped me a lot in the past and I would spend all my resources on that before popping a prescription pill any day. That will make you sicker and only benefit the pockets of pharm. co's and thier shareholders at the expense of your health. But I can understand your desperation when you are feeling so awful you will resort to whatever helps in the short term.

amerikajin are you being sarcastic? I hope so.

Yes, sorry, I should've put one of those emoticon thingies at the end of my post.

I get sarcastic when I get angry, and I get peed off every time I start to think about how we're so stupid to just sit around and blindly support our government p!ssing away $500 billion dollars on some bogus liberation while these a-holes refuse to find solutions to a healthcare crisis. It's not just politicians who don't care, it's the top 5% of people in this country who've made it and couldn't care less about the other 95%.

Food for thought: the majority in Congress right now doesn't want us to have the very same health insurance that they receive from the U.S. government - healthcare that you and I pay...for them and their families. This is criminal.

It pisses me off too. I have crappy health insurance and pay $250 deductible. $25-$40 for perscription drugs. It covers no pain managment, chiropractic work, yoga, alternative treatments. etc.. etc... limited therapy.

But also I work for a small company and it kills the bosses to even try to cover workers. They don't even cover depedants! Such BS.

And at the rate we're going there will be fewer and fewer companies paying for healthcare coverage.

All of those idiots who say 'well the market takes care of everything' are just talking heads who are utterly full of shi'ite.

Even if you have a jacuzzi tub, you can still install one of the ladies' favourites - a hand-held shower massager - in your shower. They are great to get to any areas other showers don't. <weg> Of course I mean necks and shoulders :D
