Breaking up but having second thoughts

I am new to these forums, and asking for relationship advice. I've spoken with family and friends, and would really like to get a 3rd party's opinion. That's where you all come in. I am 25 years old, my soon to be (stb) ex-girlfriend is 35. The age gap hasn't been an issue with us at all. We love eachother very, very much. But the kids have become an issue. It is not that they don't like me, or disapprove of my relationship with their mother. She moved to be with me. The children's father is 1300 miles away... as well as the rest of their family. They do not have anyone living close by that is blood relatives of them, only their mom. The kids bring it up all the time that they do not get to see their dad, family, friends, etc...

So, after many discussions with my stb ex-girlfriend... I decided to break things off. I don't want the kids growing up in a place they don't want to be. I don't want their dad and family to not be able to see them. The only reason they are here is because their mom is. And the only reason she is here is because of me. I love her to death, but I cannot put her kids through not seeing their family for just me. On top of that, my stb-ex girlfriend cannot have any more kids due to having a hysterectomy (sp?). On the scales of life I have the love of my life on one side. On the other side there's 3 kids, with no way of having my own with her, an age difference... which plays a small part in financials, and the very large commute for the children to see anyone in their immediate family.

I have been having second thoughts though. Should I break it off... and lose the love of my life for 'logical' reasons? Or go with my heart and stay with the woman I love?

how old are these kids?

and why could you, your gal and her brood move closer to her family.... maybe halfway?

heck.... she moved for YOU..... a little thing like location should not keep you from " the love of your life", or so i would think.
