Guest
Hi, there is a co-worker that I see quite often (we work in a supermarket, i'm a cashier) and I'm not exactly sure what's going on. It could be my imagination, but when we both work on the same day I see him around a lot. I mean many times i'll turn around and he's right there. Sometimes he'll stare and other times he'll ignore me. I went into the mall area one time to get something to eat at a convienience shop and I turn around and again he's right behind me. I was talking to some friends last week and he looked up from his newspaper and listened. I'll be at my work station and he'll pass by more then a dozen times. I see a lot of people walking around doing their job but it seems as though he's around a lot. I'm not sure does this sound like a coincidence? 2 other specific incidents:he passed by me once and he stared right at my chest, I had a name tag thingy hanging from my neck, looked like he was staring right at it...possibly looking at my name? Another incident that seemed to be somewhat significant from the rest was that our store has a balcony type thing that overlooks the store, and up there there is a door that is the managers office. Well he frequently went to the balcony and was looking down. The same day, he was talking to a friend while looking down, I look up to see his friend staring at me. Then another time he was up there with the same friend and both had gone into the manager office. I continue working but then when I look up his friend had been looking down, but then quickly ran back into the office. I don't get it. Is it just me? I think I might be interested in this guy, I just can't figure this out. Should I assume it's just a coincidence?

Guest
Thanks for responding guys! You think so?? I'm always someone who needs more proof ;0) I think maybe I should pay a little closer attention to his behaviour to see if there's anything else. Is there a way I could find out if it's a coincidence? A friend suggested that I make it obvious that i'm going somewhere, and then see if he shows up there too. What do you think? I think you should do something open and direct. He will either cringe and back away or he will eat it up !

Adunaphel
He surely sounds interested. Why don't you start up some conversation with him?
Guest
Good ideas! When I see him again, i'll smile at least, just so he knows I won't bite :0) I'm nervous, but i'll try to talk to him. Well, a few days ago I was at work, and his friend that I mentioned earlier saw me, he walked by several times, and everytime he would give me this odd smile, somewhat sly. I guess I should ignore that. Is he cute? Lol, well he looks like Russel Crowe except with very short hair. I don't find him that attractive, but there's something about him...I guess i'll post again if I have any news, anyone who wants to make a comment...well, feel free :0)
Guest
Ok I finally saw him again, it's been about a month maybe. Anyway, he looked kinda busy today. I saw him from a distance and he would look at me a few times, once I was talking to some older guy (another co-worker). Anyhow I was about to leave because my shift was over and I saw him unpacking some boxes and restocking shelves, so I thought it would be a good time to walk by and maybe say hi. Well, he looks at me (it seemed almost awkward) and I look at him, but he broke eye contact first and then just turns around and continues. My courage broke right there because he just ignored me and I couldn't say anything when he turned around. If someone was interested wouldn't they want an opportunity to converse? I dunno am I getting mixed messages? Was it just me thinking something out of nothing? I mean if someone ignores you it can't mean they're interested. right...?
LaughMachine
This guy could like you! but I think your giving it too much thought and by giving it to much good thought , your just setting your self up for " false hope ". He could most likely be shy. Just like you said you were nervous I'm sure he is too
Guest
Hi, it's been a little while since I wrote back, but i've gotten some really great feedback! Thanks so much! But now it seems that i'm very confused about him. I'm starting to fall for him even more and I don't know what to do about it. I'm very shy in general, so I seem to be waiting for some sort of interest signal on his part before I actually do anything. Here's what i've been noticing though....ok from a distance he'll stare/look, and I know he does this because I do the same :0) Also a few times as he's walking by he'll watch me with customers, but when I look up he'll look away. And when he gets closer to me I try to look at him so we can establish eye contact but he ignores me, or he'll turn his head completely the other way...however when at a distance he'll look. I don't get it. Once today he walked by my lane and looked in and gave me a small smile. That's it. I don't understand, why pay attention at a distance, then when up close act like i'm not there? Is this some kind of dumb game? If a guy is interested wouldn't he act like it, Especially if given an opportunity? (like being in close proximity). I'd like to get to know him, but it seems almost impossible this way! What do you think?
Guest
No one can figure this one out either eh? I know it seems like a nothing issue, but how he's acting still has me confused, so any more opinions? Thanks again, though, guys.
Guest
Oops...I just found out from a friend that the guy is MARRIED! Sorry for wasting time....Thanks for the responses though. I guess he wasn't interested afterall.
