He does a lot of divorces and domestic cases. He told me that in many such cases a psychological evaluation is mandated on both sides. He said that just about EVERY TIME the results are the same. For women it's this: Hystrionic and Borderline Personality. The lawyers interpret this as: A REAL BITCH! For the men they usually come back with a diagnosis of: (Big Surprise!) NARCISIST! The lawyers interpret this as "REAL DICKS" Interesting isn't it? Thought you all might want to know what goes on "on the inside." Link to post Share on other sites

In my experience, this could describe a LOT of marriages to varying degrees... But my theory is, living with a narcissist will eventually turn you into a real bitch!! You have two people who are pissed as hell at each other so of course some shrink is going to label them with something. And the shrinks are paid for results. If they came back with ....... slightly depressed or coping well as a diagnosis it would not be worth paying them for the diagnosis....... :lmao: If you were to look at any individual you could probably find a way to label them with anything. I watched some show long ago where a woman was having marriage problems went to a shrink and the shrink convinced her she was molested by her father..... he damn near went to prison over it...... in the end he never did molest her the shrink planted the whole thing. I said that I think that to some degree you could apply these diagnoses to a LOT of marriages but the question is, which comes first??? One thing we need to remember as laypersons is that the "experts" we consult have their own biased perspectives. Send a man with a bad back to a surgeon, he wants to cut.
