Buttaflyy
Anyone know anything about it? My SO was just diagnosed yesterday. He had what we thought was a cyst removed last thurs. We were relieved that the surgery was over and thought everything would be fine. He goes to get the stitches removed and the Dr. (who originally told him it was just a cyst and to ignore it ) informs him that it was cancerous. He says not to worry, this is a common type of cancer and is usually easily treated. He says that it is Low Grade and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I don't have much faith in this Dr. because of his original attitude with diagnosing the cyst. I had to insist that my SO have it removed, as it grew bigger. The appt with the oncologist is Tues. 3 long days away!
melodymatters
I'm so sorry ! You must both be really freaked out ! It sounds like there's a good chance it's not very serious after all, but no harm in getting a 2nd opinion. Be strong for him and in the best of all worlds, It will turn out to be nothing, but the experience will bring you closer together !

And when it was time for a follow up or as soon as i got testing done. Back Again. Ive been dealing with cancer now for months and the best results i have gotten was from Fox Chase. Everything you need is there. I myself am going back for a procedure on Friday.

Yeah we were pretty bummed about it, but we are hopeful that it hasn't spread. Hopefully, it is not very serious as you said. Thanks Melodymatters! Everything you need is there. I myself am going back for a procedure on Friday. We live in NYC. Goodluck to you Yousaveme! I've dealt with cancer with a lot of my family members and yes, it is pretty discouraging when you think you've gotten a handle and it comes back. Fortunately tho, this thing can be beat! Thanks for the recommendation as well. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you! Feel free to PM me anytime.
CrushedOrgans
i don't have personal experience with this, but i can appreciate how freaked out (to say the least!) you both must be. i would be devastated to the point that i would wish it was me instead of him. hope you're okay, both of you, and that everything works out all right. Fun2BMe
My best friend had this type of cancer three times. The first time he was treated with radiation. THe second time when it came back he was treated by radiation. The third time it came back he was treated with both radiation and chemo. Each time it came back different lymph nodes in his body were cancerous. I don't think Lymphoma is something that can be removed by an exterior growth, it effects the lymph nodes internally. Look it up. He made it ok, but now his brother was diagnosed with it last year and is not doing so well as he did. A member of my family died from it too, so I think you have to do a lot of research to learn what it is especially if he has such an awful doctor.
Author Buttaflyy
THANKS YOU GUYS! For your support! After a PET scan their is no sign of cancer! Which means that it was caught at the earliest possible stage and hasn't spread! Yay! Yesterday, my SO had a bone marrow biopsy just to be sure, but the oncologist is pretty sure that the cancer is competely gone! He expects a full recovery, and as a precaution is recommending radiation. We are on cloud 9 right now! Nothing could be better!
