Thing is, our first date is on valentines day, we know a little about each other, been talking for a couple of weeks after we met, but never went out, just curious to know where a good place to go would be? It was to an oriental restaurant where you took your shoes off and sat on low benches in little cubicles. The novelty was really nice. If you do that, be sure there are no holes in your socks. If this is the first time you're taking her out, I don't think it matters that it's Valentine's Day. You'd be making a serious mistake if you made any kind of emphasis on that fact while you're out with her. A nice dinner, a ride around some interesting parts of town (classy residential areas or where there are trendy shoppes), a walk on the grounds of a local college campus...those sorts of things are good to do. I never take first dates to movies or concerts. If I'm interested enough to take them out, I want to do a lot of talking and learning about the person on the first few dates and it's rude to talk in a theatre and too loud to talk at a concert. You can do something casual like dinner and a place to spend time talking and getting to know each other. Browse the website of the city you live in to find out where others are spending love day. I remember one date where he had picked me up on his motorcycle and we went to St. Augistine and toured the historics for the day and than during the evening we ate dinner on the water.
