Not sure if this is in the right forum, but . . .

 

Seeing how last night was full of tears and woe, today I awoke with swollen eyelids.

 

And now, this may sound ridiculous, but I never really learned why they get like that.

 

Why do our eyes/eyelids get swollen after crying for long periods of time?
