the_alchemyst
Well, I had been looking around for a job because, erm, I didn't have any money, but I couldn't find any that were appropriate. Not too long ago, I got an interview for a job as a receptionist at Super Cuts. I went and everything seemed well, but they never called me back. I ended up calling them, asking them what the status of my application/interview was, and they told me they had already hired someone. I guess I didn't look good enough or something. In a way, I wasn't too disappointed because the job was about 25 minutes away, and it wasn't like they were going to pay me that much, anyway. And well, with the price of gasoline, it seemed like it would have been more of a loss than a gain, you know? ANYWAY, where I live, there are some elderly people. I remember someone suggested (I think it was Outcast) that I look around to see if I could get a job tending to the elderly, since it wouldn't be too difficult. Well, I did and I stumbled onto an old lady who is going to be living for herself during the weekdays (because her grand daughter, who's the only one who lived wit her, is going away to a University. I don't think the Uni is that far, but it seems she will be staying away during the week and coming home only on the weekends). SO, this lady needs someone to cook, clean, and do laundry (...). And of course, someone to kinda be around in case she needs anything or to keep her from being too lonely. All I would have to do would be to clean the condo, which is kinda big, but not untidy at all, cook, and do her laundry. For some reason, I found the last thing kinda funny. Oh well. So, I guess I got a job. I'm a maid. Aww.
stoopid_guy
Cool! Works out great for both of you, and maybe she won't mind if you do your own laundry there too.
