ashleyanj4
Now I know that I should pray for these people and I do on a regular basis. But sometimes I just want to look at them and say are you stupid.. Lets see why are people lost when it comes to God. i lost my job, my car broke down,I have no money,my family left...Now get real folks, and then you say well God why did you do this to me HELLO DUH figure it out you dont care about him....or the second reason is " I told him i needed his help to fix this, he didnt answer" duh again, God dont want you there in the bad times only he wants you in the good and the bad. No where in the bible does it say that being a christian was going to be easy. and it doesnt say that when you become a christian that you will have everything your heart desires. Its a give and take relationship. Now why do people turn away from him...."well I done all that I can and he just dont care" well if he didnt care you wouldnt be living right now..He sent his son here.He died for YOU to live!!!!!!. I personally think that is a very big thing to do and that should show them that he loves you more than words can explain.....Why would it not be? Everyday less and less people believe in God and the promises he made to us. Because we as humans think we can do it all ourselves. Sorry you cant heck even is you look at the simple things in life you dont do it all on your own. Lets take going to work for example... You need to get to work you get in that car who do think made that car that helps you go to work. You drive down the road who do you think laid that road for you to drive that car on... You sure didnt do it all on your own...... Have you really accomplished anything from start to finish on you own...no. God says nowhere in the bible that being a christian was going to be easy. But he does promise that he will not give you more than you can handle. He will test our faith...and if we fail we get spirtual butt kickings.... I made a promise in feb. that my kids will be raised in the ways of the Lord and let me tell you that is the best choice I have ever made.. at there ages there whole attitudes have changes they are now really good kids and there toddlers now you cant tell me that it isnt from some higher power. And if you dont believe why? give some logical reason as to why you dont believe....
johan
You should be mad. You should really go public with this. There are more people than just those here on this website who need to hear your message. People here are just going to be turned off by your message. Have you ever considered writing a book? Are there any places where you can proclaim the word of God to the general public? This is not the best place for you to really deliver this message.
Author ashleyanj4
reading somethings on this website is what motivated me to write the post I noticed and have noticed things not only from the people here that less and less people believe.....Maybe some people here need it. maybe they needed that "this is more and likely why you dont believe". i know that there are lost here and I was dreading some of the responces that I would see. I was very delighted to see one from you and it be positive! All that I have been through in the part 7 months God has helped me with alot. He made me strong and he showed me the way. If you want to know what I have been threw go to seperation and divorce I have made a few post there. But anyways I will leave it at that until later......

superconductor
And if you dont believe why? give some logical reason as to why you dont believe.... Prayers that are met with no response. I'm not talking about prayers to win the lottery or get that parking spot or prayers for some sort of miraculous event like the Blue Jays winning the American League East. I'm talking about concrete, definable and worthy pleas for help, such as assistance in a health crisis, a glimmer of hope during troubled times. The behaviour of some people of faith. Instead of following the teachings of Jesus about forgiveness, kindness and all the rest, many people of faith use the Bible as some sort of tool to denigrate people or beat each other up. The abandonment of common sense. The Earth created in 6 days? People living to 800 years old? God living in a tent? The human race miraculously brought forth out of dirt some 6,000 years ago? C'mon, people, get real. The fundamental inequity on the backs of the innocent. The death of children, especially, when all they did was happen to be born in, say, Sudan, and die of starvation or disease. I know I won't change your mind, but hey, you asked. If poring over religious texts has helped you, then that's great. Not everyone needs a religious faith in order to get through difficult times. Your belief that those people are "lost" for not needing what you need, or wanting what you want, won't change a thing. I don't think of myself as an atheist...but neither am I an active believer and churchgoer. Most of the time I just don't think about religion. Why? Because I don't feel any need to. Lindya you can say this until you are blue in the face and they won't get it. they may nod and say okay but will be thinking "that poor lost soul, I need to pray for them to be saved"....... :lmao: And like in the past some won't quit there they prefer to force you to believe even if it is a matter of killing you to save you. I don't know - it sounds like a chuckle a minute in that place: Because of Michigan's climate, Hell "freezes over" every winter. Because of this, the phrase "when Hell freezes over …" is laughed at by those who know of this small town. Great. I can expect a warm welcome in Hell. I'm already imagining the conversations I'd have with locals. Ice cream vendor: "70 cents, please" Me: "You'll get your 70 cents....when Hell freezes over!!!" (we share a chuckle) Bartender: "There's your Diet Coke" Me: "Is there a snowball's chance in Hell that I could get a slice of lime in that?" (the bartender laughs so hard that I get my Diet Coke for free) McDonalds employee: "Would you like to supersize that?" Me: "I'd rather be an icicle in Hell!!!" (We both laugh until the McDonald's employee vomits slightly on my burger). Group of locals: "Hey there bitch. We hear you've been wanderin' round town cracking jokes at the expense of our town's good name." Me: "Go to Hell!" (a potentially dangerous moment is averted as we bond in laughter). These venting religious threads are a very reasonable alternative to the Watercooler, aren't they!
a4a
Ahh, among my minimal collection of frig magnets I have one that resembles a 50's postcard It reads: Greetings from Hell lil satan dude says: "It's a dry heat" It's not just for the damned anymore! Not affiliated with Hell Michigan. So it is warm with no humidity according to this postcard from Hell. Sounds kinda nice........wonder if they can whip up a good mai tai? Author ashleyanj4
When it all comes to end every tounge shall confess that there is a god. Now lets see would I or anyone with the right mind choose a eternal life of happiness or eternal life of torture. It states in the bible that Hell is firey pitts and the people that will be there will eperince total darkness, gnashing and breaking or the teeth, no sleep day or night....Go to the website what will hell be like.... Now Im sorry when you say well how can he kill these children no where in the bible does it say that life is fair.. If you stray and do wrong by him there will be consiquensis. Just as there is in everyday life. God gives us laws to follow and just like real life you break them you suffer. And like I stated earlier God isnt going to help when carp gets deep, why only go to him for that he wants you in the good and the bad times he wants you to pray to him when things are going great and he wants you to pray to him when things are bad....I have seen many miracles happen through the power of prayer to God....And for those belivers that have strayed. God has a hook in your jaw and he will pull you back in.....To the belivers well we as christians know what we should do not only pray for the peoples salvation but also preach the word of God when you see it needs to be said....My mom made a good statement today alot of the new christians we have now became that because of thier fear of hell...preachers preach all the time that hell this and hell that rarely do they preach on how God is love.... SoCalCatman72
Hi Ashleyjan4 I have read over your post a couple of times and I guess I'd just like to add my $0.02 IMO you have missed a few important facts. God has given us three fundamental things. 1. His Word the Holy Bible. 2. The life of His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us of our sins. 3. Free will. His word is to educate us in His ways and laws. His Son to forgive us for our transgressions, and free will to choose whether or not to follow Him. Of these, it is free will that always seems to cause the most problem. Just as we are free to choose to love and follow Him, we are free to choose not to believe in Him as well. Whether or not we like someone's decisions, we must respect in their right to choose as we believe. Yes evangelism and sharing of your faith is part of being a Christian, but what so many people seem to forget is that Christianity is not about how many people you lead to God, or how many good deeds you do for others, or how much scripture you can memorize and recite to others, but how you live your life as a whole. People seem to forget that as Christians, we are to be a shining light unto the world, and that we do not put that light under a bowl, but instead let it shine freely upon the world. How we live our life and how we treat others is much more indicative of our beliefs than what we say to others. If evangelism is frustrating you, why not focus on supporting those that are struggling in your ministry and help keep them from falling away from the faith. Maintenance of the ministry is just as important as growing the ministry, and we all have different gifts to be used in different places. As the book of James says, whoever restores a lost soul to the faith has saved them from death and covers over a multitude of sins. And one final thought. I have found that many people are angry at God because someone in their life was taken from them prematurely. For a long time I have puzzled over this, trying to find an answer, but then after I was asked to be a special friend to a child with Down's syndrome, I realized that these lives and souls are not ours to claim or posess, but God's. God gave his only Son's life to redeem us, and we have the right to become angry with Him because he called a soul home before WE were ready to let go?

WORD!!! In my view this god may as well be Santa..... As hard as it is for me to think that someone could believe in such things I tolerate it mostly without anger. Unless of course it infringes on my own life. Political Religion is one thing that really ticks me off. More so when people tend to force their ideals through politics thinking that their religion is the right one. In a War do not both sides think " god is on our side"? Hummm?
