Fear, Trust, Life and Relationships...

TRUST:

Just as you would not want to do business with someone you can't trust, this law simply stated is: When you can completely trust the process of the universe and life, you will be supplied abundantly and you will be able to make your life work just the way you want it. And the trust you give and have must be 100% or it is zero. It cannot be given under one condition and not under another.

There are many things we trust with our lives and have no concern about. Such as: the sun will come up every day; the law of gravity works all the time; the pilot who pilots the plane we fly on, is competent; our garbage is picked up on certain days. If we could not trust the things we take for granted will occur without any effort on our part, the fear for our well being would be so great we would not be able to enjoy our lives. Can you imagine what the world would be like, if we could not trust the food we buy, the water we drink or that the people we depend on would not manipulate or harm us?

But the only way we can expect others to trust us is, we need to be trustworthy ourselves, and especially to ourselves. Unfortunately, many people don't trust themselves and the judgments and decisions they make. Therefore, they experience disharmony with their lives and their world.

I believe that according to what a person believes about himself is surrounded by his own reflection.

If you are at peace with yourslef, than you can only live, breath, and feel peace all around you. It's spiritual. But human nature also allows us to fall. If you dont pick yourslef back up than you will be surrounded by "Zero" trust. And become too vulnarable to a life of disharmony.

"And the trust you give and have must be 100% or it is zero. It cannot be given under one condition and not under another."

Excellent quote from Sidney.

It takes age, experience and wisdom to grow and evolve into a comfort where we can trust the universe to handle all things and to do the best we can to accept what happens, to change what we can, to do better, etc.

The greater number of people are way too busy trying to control their lives, control other people's lives, issues, etc. and way too submerged into having fun, making money, trying to make things happen for themselves, etc. to learn that sitting back and letting the world happen before them will achieve much better results and bring greater lasting happiness.

Ghandi was able to free India from British rule through passive resistance and simple meditation every Sunday. I have written many times on this board that the less effort that is put into winning someone's heart, the more likely it will be won.

But people are control freaks. This comes from fear. Fear comes from lack of trust. Letting go and trusting is a scary thing. Yet we trust a total stranger, a man we have never met before, to heave our giant airplane 35,000 feet into the air and get us safely where we are going. Strange creatures we humans are.

The lucky people who evolve into the consciousness where they trust the universe to take care of all their needs and give up trying to control what happens but rather accept the good, convert the not so good, and acknowledge their limitations to do that are always the happiest.

Those who try the hardest to win love, or to make anything else happen, are the most likely to fail and the most likely to be miserable. It is from lack of trust...and lack of faith...essentially the same thing.

To trust ourselves is to trust the universe to manifest what is best for us. Most people think they know better than the universe, better than life, what is best for them and end up with hurt and pain. Life punishes those who do not trust but lovingly and unceasingly tries to teach the art of trusting.

Most people die never having learned the important lesson of letting go and trusting life.

That's really sad.

One of my favorite Zen sayings: "A good traveller has no particular destination and is not intent on arriving."

In other words, getting through life is trusting that it will take you where you need to be and you will be happy there.

Another: "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost, The Road Less Traveled.

It takes courage to follow their own path, to follow their instincts, to trust in the unknown.

Still Another: ""We shall not cease from exploration,

and the end of all our exploration will be to arrive

where we started and know the place for the first time." -T.S.Elliot, Four Quartets

It is within us if we take the time to learn. All Dorothy had to do was click her heels three times to get back to Kansas. It was an easy trick she had to go through hell to learn.

Happy travelling and happy trusting!!!
