Breast Cancer: A possibility?

Recommended Posts

[May contain graphic descriptions of the female anatomy]

A woman notices, one day, that one of her nipples is discharging a certain fluid [clear, with a tint of yellow]. She is well aware, that it is not due to nursing as she is neither pregnant nor a parent with children. She later takes note that her areola around both nipples have been retracted inwards, along with slight skin peeling (scaling) on the nipple.

Last time she had a breast examination at the doctor's office was about 1-2 years ago.

Should she be concerned?

Thank You.

Said woman should not panic or jump to conclusions, but SHOULD call a gynecologist's office (either the one she saw two years ago or perhaps one a friend or family member recommends) and make an appointment immediately. The woman should make sure she sees him or her right away to clear up the mystery once and for all.

Asking a bunch of strangers on an Internet chat forum whether or not she has breast cancer is really not the way to go.

Call a doctor, make an appointment, get it done. You need a checkup anyway, so it's a win-win and you'll get the information you need--and probably some peace of mind.

Until you go see your Dr and get this checked out, you're going to worry.

I haven't a clue what that is and honestly, I don't want to try and guess.

I know you're scared, but please, go! Take a friend or someone you're close with in your family to take you. And definately post back when you know what's going on. Until then, try to stay calm, take deep breaths and if you're really freaking out, go to the hospital tonight and someone in Emergency will check you out.
