Male/Female Height Ratios

Recommended Posts

The height equivalent of a 5'8" man would be a 5'8" woman. What height of woman would look best with a 5'8" man is a subjective matter. It depends on how they feel. Now, weight would probably be a different matter. A 5'8" woman would weigh substantially less than a 5'8" man. A 5'8" woman could be significantly smarter than a 5'8" man...or maybe not.

If you have some more detailed scientific reason for this question, please let us know.

And, by the way, a pound of lead is the weight equivalent of a pound of cotton.

I like trick questions. Bring 'em on!!!

If you are 5'8 and a guy, what would you consider your female height equivalnet?

I'm thinking 5'3 maybe?

5'4''

(according to some scientific study - or perhaps some crackpot theory - which said that your expected height is what you get adding up your parents' heights, halving the result and adding 2 inches if you are a guy, subtracting them if you are a gal)

I was reading somewhere that the average American man is 5'10.2 and the average American woman is 5'4.7, so you're right in the average zone.

What get me is that in personals, etc. I see so many women who are fairly short demanding that the guys are at least 5'10. It's almost the standard cut off for many women's expectations no matter their own height.

Didn't someone here post a formula, ideal height == (your height)/2 + 7

So a 5'8" guy (68") should look for a 41" woman...:lmao:

I thought you were right. If the average man's height is about 5 ft 10, which I've always heard it was, and the average woman's height is about 5 ft 4, then I think you're right to say that the equivalent of a 5 ft 8 man would be about a 5 ft 3 woman.

With that being said though, many average to below average-sized women still want average to above average-sized men. Not ALL of course, but yes, many do.

I wouldn't focus on something you have no control over.

I'm 6'1" and my wife is 5'1". To be honest I was never really attracted to shorter women but for some reason her height had no bearing on things.

I'm 5'2, and I prefer to date men who are at least 5'8. I dated a guy who was 5'6 and I think we looked great together size-wise (it made me feel taller somehow, too, hee-hee), but for some reason, I end up dating tall men (5'10 and above). I think for a 5'8 man, 5'2-5'4 is a good equivalent - makes sense because 5'4 and 5'10 are the average heights for males/females.

I am 5'11" and that is perfect for me. I like it. Another inch or two would not hurt I guess....I usually date women around 5'2" to 5'7". I've found the shorter women are more fun to have sex with cause they weigh less and i can spin them around and contort them. The tall lanky ones not so much.

I think these women just use some arbitrary height that they pick from thin air, with the general idea that that is considered "normal". But in actuality they have no idea and couldn't tell 5'8 from 5'10 on a good day.

but they could differentiate between a 5" penis and a 10" penis

Is this a part of your usual sex routine, if you don't mind me asking? I've never been spun around or contorted, and I'm not sure I'd like it (I get nauseous easily ).

What was the President's name in 1960?

Not absolutely sure, but I know the initials were LSD. What a great idea it was to put a dude on the moon.

I'm leaning (and not because I'm self-conscious or anything) towards the "height is irrelevant" camp. Just my point of view (from moderate altitudes).

It's not about numbers, it's on how the person feels about himself/herself. When you do care for the person then the ratio would be irrelevant. We're only half an inch in difference, me being 5"7" and he's 5"7 1/2".

You can get some entertainment out of large differences or if the woman is noticebly taller. I dated a lady 3" taller than me for a while. The guys in the office thought it was hilarious, especially one morning when I came in with a black eye.:D

well.... i am 5'8.5. my BF is 6'2-ish........

a dude HAS TO BE TALLER THAN ME!!! But i did date a guy that was 6'7.... OMG!!! my neck hurt after 1 week with this guy(and he was prude)!

but my li' sis dates a guy(for 5-6 yrs, now) that is a few inches shorter, and she is like 5'6 at gargantuian height....... she 'eventually' grew outta the weirdness of it..... but pics they have from early on she is slouching in.

My sister always said I need to date tall women because I'm tall - 6'5"

But I've dated women from 5'6" to 6'3". A taller woman is easier to hug standing up and easier to dance with. But Alpha Male's point about sex is worth noting. It's better with a woman who is a lot smaller vs almost my same height.
