In praise of geeky ladies

Recommended Posts

That is just the way it is, some women know this and play it up. I consider myslef good looking, and also I consider myself down to earth, and don't take myslef too seriously.

When I am around women who flirt and try to play up the attention, I just sit back and laugh to myself. I see it as an insecurity that they need the attention.

Sandra Bullock, ok Stoopid Guy I see where you are going with this...

i'm like you too, well, the first part...but i've definitely had my attention-whore days! i don't think i was insecure though, i just liked it.

maybe i'm just naturally boisterous. all i know is, i don't have blonde hair, or fake boobs, or legs to the ceiling, but i've never had any trouble with the manfolk.

A little shy, just enough to be charming,

clean faced,

well read,

intelligent, and not afraid to show it,

curious,

goofy sense of humor,

nothing fake,

great conversationalists,

great friends...

I now *know* for sure I'm geeky. That's because today I spent a few minutes looking for "easter eggs" in your "ode to the geeky girls" - acrostics, anagrams, word play, double entendres (or the geeky equivalent of double entendres...whatever that is).

I just thought I'd let you know.

Oh, I obviously found none.

...so, did I miss anything relevant in your first post?

well women do have power over men, but they should use it wisely.

At my last job There was this one girl who used lean over and flash

this one particular person, men in the office did things for her all the time,

It was entertaining though.

I am not geeky and I can talk to anyone, but if I like someone I am shy

and may I add as well that there is a big difference between women who are HOT as men say, and women who have Sex appeal
Interesting, I never thought about it, but you're right. A little shyness is sexy, but not really hot. If a woman's "hot," she's sexy, but if she's sexy, she may not be hot. So "hot" is a subset of "sexy?"

I'd also say "hot" and "geeky" are mutually exclusive, but "sexy" and "geeky" are not.

Nah, just random thoughts in no particular order. Sorry to dissapoint you.:p

yeah, mine does too...but they got used to seeing that, i think. i was just playing with them anyway, they were my friends.

that's one thing that always bugged me though...when you have cleavage, people say you're loose...but sometimes there's just no hiding it, and i hate turtlenecks...:)

I actually find it insulting when a woman acts like she should get special treatment for her looks.

me too! one of the funnest things is dissing good looking women cause they are not used to it. most men treat them like goddesses. I was at a restarant a few wks ago and had this good looking waitress. She started flirting with me and I told her that her flirting won't make her tip any larger. She then became more serious and attentive.

omg, i was just at a business lunch the other day. The guy took me to his office to give me the grand tour, then took me out to lunch. The waitress came up and he ordered his food asking for steak and she totally went all flirty to him asking him "how'd you _like_ it" with a wink, he replied "raaaaaw". My gawd, I felt like I was watching a really bad porn flick and totally intruding. Is this normal for the single world? Sad thing is, he had a fiancee, whom he lived with! He did give her a big tip tho, but I'm assuming it was the company credit card :)

I love geeky girls. I have a 3rd date tomorrow with a girl who seems to match everything on that list (not sure about the "well read" part yet, though).

I'm pretty geeky.

Although I do a lot of really un-geeky things like burlesque dancing, and swimsuit modelling :p

But when I am not trolling around with a microphone in my hand I would much prefer to be doing what I am doing tonight... curled up in bed with The Globalization of Word Politics: An Introuction to International Relations.

I do geeky things and I was a nerd in highschool, never letting my love of fashion get in the way of finishing in the top of my grade

... and I love Electronic Battleships :o

I couldn't date a man who didn't want to play that with me :lmao:

Marry me....

simply because the inner them was not as valued as the outter them.

I completely agree.

But don't forget there are also the ones who use this need to escape the stigma as further motivation to excel in other areas of their life.

I think it's cool when a sexy woman is a bit of a geek. Then I have something in common with her. The sexiness, I mean.

The geek part just means I have something to tease her (gently) about. And hopefully I'll be able to tease the pants off her.

She ended up having to postpone because she's sick. I guess she'll have to wait another few days to fall in love with me.

That's so hot :D

Your sinking my battleship you bad boy ;)

Hahaha, the ultimate in nerd dirty talk :lmao:

I actually have a shirt that says "Talk nerdy to me". :D

How geeky are you?

http://www.matthewbarr.co.uk/geek/

I'm 52% geeky. And I like to dress well and look good. I think more people in touch with their geeky side could do well with improving their looks (not to the point of obsessive vanity, but put some effort in it!) That way, we geeky folk can take over the world! decent looks, charm, good conversation, brains, wit, fascinating interests....who can resist???

The current average score is: 31.91%

Fact: 8.04% of people who took this test wear a bum-bag on holiday.

Wow i thought i was more geeky than that :)
