Kittiecat Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 There was a segment on Good Morning America today (and yesterday) about this "Jesus Camp" for kids where they learn to be "warriors for Christ." These kids were sobbing their eyes out over the sins of mankind. It looked like brainwashing to me. Anyone see this?
alphamale Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 were suicide vests included in the fees? or is that extra?
Author Kittiecat Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 If there was the "camp counselors" kept it well hidden. Alpha - There were no suicide vests but the director of this place DID mention the fact that she admires the passion of jihadists (or something to that effect) and wishes Christians were that passionate. Yikes. So maybe the vests will come later.

Author Kittiecat Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 maybe this will be the start of the Neo-Crusades...just what we need. What do you mean start? It's happening as we speak. The Christian right want to turn their beliefs into law.
alphamale Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 What do you mean start? It's happening as we speak. The Christian right want to turn their beliefs into law. um..let me guess, all the kids parental units are repubicans??
Author Kittiecat Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 um..let me guess, all the kids parental units are repubicans?? Uh, not only that but they also "bless" a cardboard cutout of George W. Bush. The director of this place says they'd do the same if Clinton were in office - it's all about supporting whomever is the leader of this country. Hmmm...somehow I don't buy it.
alphamale Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Uh, not only that but they also "bless" a cardboard cutout of George W. Bush. oh jesus christ!
Author Kittiecat Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 oh jesus christ! Ya know, reading that I suddenly heard Mr. Garrison's gay lover.
britchick Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 They had a segment on this in the news over here. It looked a hell of a lot like brainwashing to me, kids were saying that they would lay down their lives for Jesus, give it some time and they'll be wearing little army fatigues and carrying guns. This was sooooo scary - what the hell are their parents thinking????
Guest Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Of course it's not fundamentalism if it's Christian. Sigh.
Woggle Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Sounds like the christian answer to Al Queada.

This was sooooo scary - what the hell are their parents thinking???? Well put the kids on a damn plane and send em to Iraq now. Keep breeding them but put them under govt. control via the armed forces send them in first, before the reg. troops. Maybe they can teach the kids to clear land mines too. They are shorter so diffusing them should be easier for the kids? I already have started my new line of kids toys and books. I have a GI Joe Jesus (kung fu grip included) that comes with guns and a remote control tank with WWJD painted on it. Wells and Oil Pipes (similar to Chutes and Ladders). Holy Land (similar to Candy Land) I am investing in MRE's that include peanut butter and jelly, fruit roll ups, and oreo cookies. People think of the money we could make........... this is a good thing. God bless Halliburton for showing us how we can win more than just a war!
konfused Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 ...the director of this place DID mention the fact that she admires the passion of jihadists (or something to that effect) and wishes Christians were that passionate. Did someone say IRAQ!
alphamale Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 indoctrinate 'em when they're young....I say!
a4a Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Did someone say IRAQ! yeah man...... that is were that Osodom Ben Laundry dude is. Oh thats right I forgot that is a different issue. Terrorist not in Iraq.... that was the big dumb hairy guy hiding in the hole with paper clips of mass destruction. Yeah but we know that all dem dar people is outs to get us!! Strike first even if it is the wrong target....... :lmao: send them kids in to do the Jesus war.... oh wait we already have kids in deficient helmets running around over there getting blown up..... ehhh send the lil buggers in too.
a4a Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 indoctrinate 'em when they're young....I say! "oh honey lil Jimmy earned his sniper badge this week" says mom " I am proud of you son. One day you can be a suicide bomber too, or maybe you will learn the subtle skills of torture" says dad "god bless all of us" says lil Jimmy.
Nubianangel Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Whats so wrong with being soldiers or warriors for Christ? I am one and I'd gladly lay down my life for Him or in His name. My goodness, a movement in favor of following Christ starts a firestorm of fear, doubt and ridicule! Unbelievable! The devils influence is rampant around here.

It comes across as more brainwashing than "movement." Parents can send their kids to traditional Bible camp and the kids don't learn fighting techniques. I do believe there is such a thing as a "Jesus Freak" - loving Jesus is one thing, being a freak about it saying that anyone else who doesn't worship in the same manner is wrong, evil, and deserves to die, is quite another. Personally I don't think God wants any of us to die in his name. I think that's how 99% of the wars on this planet begin. Nice, huh?

This is no different that what muslim extremist and any other religion would say. IMO people should start thinking about where we really came from, and not some ficticious religion made up by man. Cheers!

IMO people should start thinking about where we really came from, and not some ficticious religion made up by man. Word. It would be nice for those so-called 'Christians' to step up to the mike and declare that they have their 'demons' too and drop the 'we are superior to everyone else' bullshyt. "The devil's influence is rampant around here"... lol... OP: Where's that good ol' Christian love and tolerance, may I ask? Love thy enemy? Guess you can't tolerate a little 'Satan' here, huh? Organised Religion is such a joke. Really.
SmoochieFace Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Whoops... my bad... didn't mean 'OP'... meant 'Nubianangel'.
a4a Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I think the devil may be in my pants at this very moment
