It isn't a hard and fast rule as I have dated brunettes as well but blonde's seem to capture my attention first especially if she has a great a$$. Wow. A blonde with a great a$$. I guess I really am shallow, (not!).

I posted a thread about this on the dating board - Opposites Attract, but not many people responded. It may have been the wrong board for it - I wasn't sure where it belonged. Anyway, I don't think it's true that men prefer blondes - I think it depends. That's true. I learned that long back. If you watched any of the 80s TV-series - Santa Barbara, The Bold & The Beautiful, Dynasty, etc. etc., you'll notice this phenomenon of couples always having opposite hair colors. Even when they break up and find new beaus, they always choose one with a different hair color. If a couple has the same hair color, it is made obvious in the story that they are not a good match and that they will have to split.

I have dark hair with somewhat tan skin and most of the women that I have dated have been blondes. Its not that I prefer them because hair color doesn't matter to me, that is just the way that it has turned out.

I was curious because I recently died my hair a dark brown in an attempt to return to my natural hair color (I was a full blonde for a long time.) I was a bit unprepared for the aftershock. I was so used to being blonde! I am hoping the quote above will turn out to be true. I think it may be, because I noticed when I was blonde men kind of treated me like a sex symbol. I got plenty of unwanted sexual advances and comments and was even groped when out in public, and I do not dress trashy! I am starting to think that what someone once told me is true - that men would prefer a blonde for the night, and a brunette for a wife! Does that mean brunettes are not sexy? Thanks again! Brunettes are just as sexy!! I'm actually natuarlly somewhere in the middle, not quite dark brunette, but not blonde! But yep, my personal experience follows your thinking entirely. And I'm getting married next year, so perhaps I'm a good study case! I was dark brunette when my SO met me, I'm going back to natural now! But that also blows the idea about opposites attracting, as my SO is dark haired. A very dark brunette! Mind you, he does perfer my natural hair colour apparently...!

In places where blondes are extremely rare, like the Middle East, they're highly admired.
