PWSX3
I grew up in a religous family but I had to go to church when I was young and now I don't go. I don't know the reason I don't go and I guess I'm trying to figure that out. Most of my relations are also very religous and are also of the same faith. I do believe in God and I do need him in my life at this time specially since me & my wife are going thru a trial separation. The church that my folks go to is mostly older people and I'm not a young person but I don't feel that I fit in with some of them. They preach that there faith is the correct faith and it is a little different then most so it makes me wonder. One of my questions is should it matter what church you should go to?? I can't believe all these other people that go to other churches will not go to heaven because they aren't of a certain faith, I know my great grandma was not the same faith but she was very much a christian and I have friends that I feel are also christians. I wonder if I would go to a diffrent church with younger people and get used to the more modern ways of the church such as the music, the dress, etc. that maybe it would help me in my life at this time. What are some of your thoughts and thanks in advance.
Tony T
Wouldn't it be rather goofy if God required people to belong to a particular religioun...out of thousands...or they couldn't go to heaven, and He didn't disclose that religion to you but made you trust some stranger you don't even know? Now, to really get to heaven you must: 1. Like hot dogs. 2. Watch TV only six hours per week or less. 3. Be a high school graduate. 4. Have an IQ of 70 or better... Yes, of course I'm kidding. Your salvation is totally up to you. You can worship God in your own way or not worship Him at all. I promise you he doesn't care. Just be true to yourself and your conscience, don't hurt other people, and you'll be just fine.
KieraM
Hi~ I stayed within my religion, but went to a couple of different churches in the area until I found the one I was comfy in. Even though they were all the same religion, some churches were stricter than others and what not. Good luck!
norajane
Churches and religions choose how to worship God. You can make that choice for yourself, as well. God doesn't care.
ThePennyDrops
Yeah, you choose the path that is right for you. It is not the same as everybody, and no one has the right to say that their way is the only way.
