almostthere
I decided to take my kids to Disneyland as part of their Xmas gift. We will be leaving one or two days after Christmas. Has anyone ever been there during that time? I just wanted to know what to expect for New Years Eve and if they still have Christmas stuff going on.
Ariadne
Hi, The last time I went to Disneyland was some 9 years ago. I went on a Saturday, nothing special, just "a Saturday". And the lines for most of the rides were over an hour long, some two hours long. Ariadne
hopelessly_naive
I went to Disney World that week two years ago. The lines are much longer then during the regular season, it was normal for me to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour and a half for a ride; but they do have a lot of christmas decorations up and christmas carols playing over the loud speakers. I also went to Disney World before that the week after the New Year, the longest I waited in a line then was 25 minutes. My advice is if you go during that week you'd better talk to your kids about patience first, because you're going to need it.
michelangelo
So be prepared for that and maybe some rain. Other than that? It's all decorated for Xmas. I like it during that time of the year. Santa is on parade with Mickey, etc.
Author almostthere
Thanks. We went to Disney World in the summer last year. They were good about waiting. Most of the lines where 30-90 minutes. They dont go on many rides though. I couldnt talk them into anything except its a small world and dumbo. Oh and Peter Pan. I am not sure what we did all day from open to close...caught a lot shows and things. Went ont eh teacups a 1000 times....but all in all they were excellent.
