My Grandma's death. What is Heaven like??

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help? I am a teen. My Grandmother of whom I was very close to died about 4 years ago. Only the thing is I still haven't really come to terms with it.The thing is when she died I I ended up due to circumstances an awful amout of high school. Therefore I missed pretty much all of my religious education and therefore I don't really understand where she's gone.

I have a question I was wondering whether anyone out there could possibly help me with. This is: what does The Bible/Christianity say that Heaven is like? What does it look like? (are there any descriptions) and what happens up there??

Also I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question (only I just wondered because I missed such a lot of school) but do they give a good all-round general education in Religion in High schools??

What sort of things about religion do they teach you in England?

CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY HELP?????

What sort of things about religion do they teach you in England?

that depends what kind of school you go to.

there are faith schools (catholic schools and church of england schools and probably muslim and jewish schools too) and non-faith schools.

in the christian faith schools you get a christian religion lesson a couple of times a week that teaches you about the new testament.

the christian faith teaches that christians go to heaven to be with god and jesus and to be with other 'saved' souls. heaven isn't described in physical terms in the bible. it is a spiritual place, we understand it's not built of the same stuff we use on earth to build things.

heaven is rather a place where you are with god, where there is no suffering, where there is no death - only peace and beauty and love. it is supposed to be a very nice place to go to.

so don't worry about your grandma. i'm sure she's fine. :)

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Rev. 21:2 ). “The heavens declare the glory of the Lord, the skies proclaim the work of His hands” (Ps. 19:1). Revelation 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
