Should I tell her?

Recommended Posts

My wife is an intelligent lady, she's fluent in three languages, "survival" level in a few more, has traveled the world, reads voraciously... I'm not insulting her mind here...

She HATES pumping gas. She basically ignores it until the warning light comes on, so anytime I drive her car and it's below half a tank, I fill it up. I thought she realized I did it, but yesterday she says "Something funny's going on with the car. Sometimes I can go several weeks on a tank of gas, and sometimes only a week." I asked her if was running OK, "yes." Then I realized what must be happening. (Did manage to keep a straight face.):p

So should I tell her what's going on with her gas? Or should I let her wonder? And how long?:p

OMG this is by far one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time.

Don't tell her........ keep filling up the tank and save the reciepts...... put them in a card and be serious and tell her that there is something she needs to know that is happening in your marriage.......hand her the card.......

I cannot believe you fill up her tank for her....... that is love! (brings the gas can fight to my mind suddenly)

My STBXH used to fill up my tank. I hate pumping gas almost as much as I hate taking out the trash.

I don't look at the gas gauge hardly ever! Maybe she is this way as well....

The light/and signal is there for a reason, it tells us to look at it when we NEED to! If it never comes on - she is assuming that she hasn't used very much gas...

And yes, sometimes the brightest minds seem to have NO common sense. Go figure! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is a great idea, unfortunately not keeping receipts is one of my own weaknesses.:p

Maybe I should blame it on elves?

I'm sure she'll figure it out eventually.:D

That is really funny! Keep it going until Christmas time or April Fool's Day!

I don't mind pumping gas, I actually like the smell of it as I'm pumping away. (yeah, that kind of sounds abit dirty eh? LOL!)

Dang! She figured it out. I guess she just started paying more attention to the needle. I took the car out Friday and filled it up from a little over a quarter of a tank. She asked me today and I told her "elves" but don't think she believed it...:p
