Kenyth
Just an FYI Most of the calories in dry wine or light beer come from the alcohol. Unless it's a sweet drink of some sort, or has sugar added, carbs and sugar are minimal. As an example, all these new low carb beers are a farce. Light beer is already low carb. The difference between the low carb beer and light beer is generally 1 carb, or 4 calories worth. If it's that much. Many of the newer low-calorie beers or spirits are simply watered down and/or alcohol reduced.
Benji86
I gave a presentation on how wine is beneficial to the human vascular system the other day. Seems studies have shown that certain compounds found in red wine can cut your risk of experiencing cardiovascular disease by nearly 35% by consuming one to two glasses a day. So needless to say, it can help you out a bit. But if it is consumed in mass quantities...well im sure you can figure out what might happen
