Ross_K
attractive? I've heard that what guys wear can really make a difference with women.
burning 4 revenge
That's much too British a question. Over here trainers are diapers and if a guy's wearing diapers it takes a special kind of woman to find that attractive.

Author Ross_K
Lol, okay I forgot about that. What I mean is sneakers, footwear. Anyway, as a side note I sent off for these the other day, just because I need a new pair of sneaks, I just love the chrome on them http://www.kays.com/AgNet/shop/Kays/-c22262-kChoices2006-n520-y11-p266366/-Nike-Mens-Air-Max-Tailwind-5-Plus-Runni/product.aspx#
elijahBailey
Ross, you are missing the whole picture, again. It's all about confidence. If that's lacking, it don't matter what you wear, you're gonna get no dates.
Author Ross_K
I've always heard that shoes, or sneakers that you wear can make a big difference with women. Bizarrre, I know.
blind_otter
I've always heard that shoes, or sneakers that you wear can make a big difference with women. Bizarrre, I know. nope. All the women I know just have certain things they look for. I look for broad shoulders and nice eyebrows, I'm weird like that. I don't care about shoes really. Unless they are especially funky. burning 4 revenge
I don't know. Down here, if you're wearing Kenneth Coles with a nice outfit that might get attention from women, but sneakers are more in the dimension of teenage minorities.

Author Ross_K
Maybe I worded it wrong saying that they can make a big difference, it's more like, a guy's footwear is important to women. I think I may know why this may be, wearing a pair of say scruffy looking boots as opposed to a nice pair of sneaks, shouldn't be anymore important to women than wearing a scruffy top as opposed to a nice one. But, I think footwear can make a lot more of a difference showing how well off you are, someone wearing a really expensive pair of trainers or shoes instead of something crap, will come off a lot better than someone wearing a nice top or even an expensive one (since for one, I think whether a top is expensive or not will be way less noticable than whether a pair of trainers or shoes were expensive or not, plus, decent footwear is in the hundreds, decent tops are very rarely anywhere near this, or at least hardly anyone is going to spend that much on a top). Remember that saying, shoes make the man? Then again your top will have a lot more influence on how you look, *sigh* I think I'm just thinking way too much here.
Author Ross_K
Just doing a google search has brought up some very interesting stuff, http://www.singlescafe.net/shoes-make-man.html http://209.85.129.104/search?q=cache:PyrZiGL2vPMJ:www.sosuave.com/quick/tip9.htm+shoes+make+the+man&hl=en&gl=uk&ct=clnk&cd=

Author Ross_K
I get my hair cut every two or three weeks, I doubt I'll ever need to go to that salon again, there's a barbers I go to which is a lot more nearer. There's still an attractive woman in there that cuts my hair though and although I'm no where near as self concious and shy as I was in that salon, I still feel that way a bit. stoopid_guy
I've always heard that shoes, or sneakers that you wear can make a big difference with women. Bizarrre, I know.Women are much more conscious of clothes in general, and shoes in particular than men are. I'm not sure I'd say "big difference" though, that's going to depend on her. Personally, I think if your shoe's made or broke your chances with a woman, she's pretty shallow and you're better off looking elsewhere anyway. I get my hair cut every two or three weeks, I doubt I'll ever need to go to that salon again, there's a barbers I go to which is a lot more nearer.Hmm... An attractive young lady, or a guy working on your head. Sounds like an easy choice to me. As a matter of fact, if she's really cute and friendly, you might need a trim every day or two. You're making progress, don't start backsliding now!!!
Author Ross_K
Lol, you didn't read all of the post. At the barbers that's more nearer to me there's an attractive women there too that cuts my hair, I'm not as shy with her but I still am a bit.
justagirliegirl
Sneakers probably matter to 15 year old girls but not to women your age. Women your age are probably looking for a little more professional put together look.
Author Ross_K
Well, if I can attract girls (which I don't) it'll be mainly late teens to early twenties, since I look really young, and I am really young for my age. And sneakers will matter to those age groups I mentioned, over here.

You are 30, you would probably look older and more mature if you dressed more your age rather than like a teenager. No offense, but it might help you out.
Author Ross_K
I don't really think I do dress young for my age really, I mean, people in their 30's seem to wear a lot of the things teenagers wear, and they definatley wear sneakers, the only kind of older clothing I can think of, would be a pair of shoes, pants, and a golf jumper, but then I'd just look ridiculous. I basically wear baggy jeans with fades down the middle and on the butt, sneakers, or catterpillar boots, and tops like sweaters and tee's, the makes I usually go for are Bench, Ecko Unltd, and Timberland. littlekitty
Ross, personally I hate them!! But that's just my personal opinion. I'm 30 so too old for you to care anyway!! Buying a £100 + pair of trainers isn't going to matter if you aren't confident. And besides, most 20-25 year old women aren't going to be that into Nike trainers. Try and Google Schuh. Buy some damn funky trainers instead if you're going to spend that much money. They'd be more 'cool' and 'noticable' than just a pricey pair of Nikes any geek can pick up. Look at some current Men's fashion pages for advice. Try Men's mags like Loaded and Mens Health or ideas as well. Don't follow the pack... then you'll stand out from it. But I guess that would freak you out more than just fitting in, huh? Oh... and stop over thinking every thing!!!

Well, I haven't bought the trainers to try and attract women, and anyway, I think I've gone off that pair I've ordered now, I'm probably going to get a different pair that I saw in the shop. And I don't dress to fit in, the stuff that I've said I wear in my above post isn't exactly popular in the UK. The clothing that's popular in the UK is either tacky looking tracksuits or tight worn out looking clothing that those metrosexual guys wear.
Author Ross_K
Oh, I've googled Schuh, but I only saw one crazy looking pair of trainers.

I'm wondering if those guys who dress in those 'tacky' outfits are the same guys who are getting pussy. Food for thought.

Ahh up North of course.... it's all a bit different down south...!! Lots of blokes wear bootcut, faded jeans with t's and sweats. Ever had a look through a Next catalogue?!! You're in the majority, rather than the minority I assure you! Have a look through the Next catalogue (again can do so online for ideas). And there's tons of great shoes on Schuh. Try http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/male_main_frameset.html Funkiest trainers around!!
SmoochieFace
I do not understand why people aren't 'getting' this: it's got nothing to do with his clothes. It has EVERYTHING to do with his ATTITUDE. You could dress up and look like the catalogue models but it won't mean a damn thing unless you change your ATTITUDE, Ross.
