He seems quite normal but I'm wondering why he needs to still have Visine eye drops in his pocket all the time. I've just done a google search and "shebanging" came up. It means to mix cocaine or crack with water and then put it into a visine bottle and squirt it up your nose. Do you think carrying the visine around is just a habit that he's use to..or can you be somewhat addicted to using Visine? Or does he have drugs in that bottle..Is there a way I would be able to tell by looking at the liquid or a smell? He also sniffs a lot..which I've noticed throughout our relationship..I think it's just habit..but not sure. Thanks for any help Link to post Share on other sites

But I know smoking weed can dry your eyes out, that might be one reason that he has visine. Although...I'm sure meth or coke can have a tendency to dry out your eyes. But I've never heard of someone putting coke in a visine bottle, wouldn't the chemicals already in the visine (contains alcohol) mix with the coke or meth in a strange way? bigmil Posted October 24, 2006 Share Posted October 24, 2006 get the Visine bottle from him and put a drop on your tongue -- if your tongue goes numb then there's coke in it. it could just be though that his eyes have become accustomed to the Visine. do some research on eye drops and you find that your eyes can actually become "addicted". If you use the drops all the time then your natural tear producton decreases and you can become dependent upon it. That could be the case with your boyfriend. 5 months is not a long time to be sober. Especially on something like crack and powder cocaine. It's accepted knowledge among professionals that people in recovery are not emotionally healthy enough to be in a relationship until they have been sober for at least a year. I would consider this and if you really care about him then you should be very active in his recovery. Link to post Share on other sites

HanginLow Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Most weed heads have used Visine as a cover up to the "Red Eye" resultant of smoking a few joints now and then. Visine actually gives you the runs, an old bar tending trick to apply a few squirts to rude customers (only in a busy bar), but I haven't heard about 'shebanging'. Hey in Hawaii, Meth is awful and everywhere, and users WILL find a way to mask their uses any what they can. Why not try asking HIM what's up with the Visine? See how he reacts, and/or go and buy a bottle of EXACT size and swap them out and be quiet, if he screams and runs to the toilet, then you got him. Any questions!
