everlong
When I was in the depths of my depression I turned to her and said if you loved me" you would do “this” to help me – and everyday “this” changed – and did so because I was depressed. Looking back, I can see how saying that must has filled her with so much guilt and it was at that point things changed. And when she left to regain her self-respect, I saw that as being left out when in reality she was doing the right thing to take care of herself. And like a fool I did opposite of what I should have done, made her feel that my being depended on her and that just pushed her away. And the more I worried, the more I did to make her dislike and blame me until I become the ‘fear’ and my actions contributed to her behavior until eventually I got it and just offered her support and love and all the space she needed because that’s all I could do.
