Some might prefer enhancement, as opposed to dependency.

un-huh. i bet they would. to blah blah justify blah blah insecurities. :D

But I have to admit that I have fantasies about aliens too. They take me up to their mother-ship, and...well, let's just say I get really annoyed when they beam me back. Those aliens are such players.

colin the alien: <all alien voicy> p-a-s-s m-e t-h-e p-r-o-b-e

magichands: oh be gentle with me big alien! you mean... open wide... like this?

colin the alien: <all alien voicy> o-h m-y g-o-d i h-a-v-e n-t s-e-e-n a c-a-v-e-r-n l-i-k-e t-h-a-t s-i-n-c-e w-e d-i-d k-e-i-t-h c-h-e-g-w-i-n.

:lmao: Brilliant!

PS: I wouldn't touch a Scouser - even with an alien probe.

you know, i've been celibate for a long time now and genuinely i've never been happier. i'm pretty sure i will stay this way for ever. and the longer it goes on, the happier i am. that's something they don't tell you. that being celibate has immense benefits. you think much more clearly. you get a deep sense of satifaction and peace from not being focused on getting some all the time.

i have learned things in this lifetime i wouldn't have missed for anything, and they've happened because i've got energy to devote to them because i'm not bothered about finding sex or keeping sex.

i have a hugely rich spiritual life and it's fulfilling in a way sex never was or ever could be. i am totally fulfilled by it. i feel like i need nothing from life and i'm grateful for everything. i feel whole.

isn't that a wonderful thing? truly, i wouldn't swap being me for the whole world.

.

i'm glad you've found a way to be happier. i hope it is ok though that i share a few things on here.

One reason you may have been unhappy before is because in this increasingly sex-driven world, people are losing sight of the true purpose of sex. Most societies (not all) are telling people it's ok to sleep around with every person you may happen to be attracted to, or if your horny go find a one-night stand. However, sex was created for a higher purpose.

I don't know if you belong to any certain religion, but being a spiritual person as you say, do you believe in a higher power? I don't want to push my beliefs on you, but for the purpose of my long reply, I'm going to use the word God.

In Genesis 2:18-25, God created Eve for Adam, and then presented her to him (like a wedding); He created sex for marriage. Within marriage sex is sacred and beautiful. Marriage is honorable for everyone (Hebrews 13:4).

Adultery, fornication, or any sexual intercourse outside of marriage is forbidden by the One who created sex. – Ex. 20:14; Matt. 5:27 & 28; I Cor. 6:12-7:9. but for those who have had pre-marital sex (regretfully myself included), God is a forgiving God. This is from a class i am currently taking,

"The Gospel addresses premarital sex as any other sin would be addressed:

2 Corinthians 5:20 & 21: “We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He [God the Father] made Him [Christ] to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him [Christ] we might become the righteousness of God.

Re-Virgination:

That’s what the Gospel offers to any person who comes to God in Christ seeking redemption, re-creation and salvation – a completely new beginning! We may still be left with consequences:

Unplanned pregnancy

STDs

Emotional consequences

BUT – the Gospel promises strength to deal with any & all of life’s burdens & difficulties . . . And healing & renewal---Hebrews 13:5 (quoting Deut. 31:6): “Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you.”"

That sounds exciting to me. I'm not trying to be pushy, i just hope you know that there are other options to celibacy. We are not made to be alone.

Blue tuesday sounds almost like a sad tuesday? I'm glad you enjoy being single and dont want any sex but I like going out on the hunt, I like kisses, touching girls and doing sexual things with them. And I wouldnt trade in my sword and family jewels for the world.

Bluetuesday,

I am, truly, happy for you. Glad to see you are satisfied with yourself.

I know, all too well, about celibacy. I wish more people, like yourself, would be celibate.

Question: What are your views on marriage? Will you, ever, marry?

Interesting Thread.

One reason you may have been unhappy before...

sorry, i should have clarified. i was not personally unhappy before. i have never been truly unhappy. why would be? i'm not starving in the sudan, never been under threat of a dictator, never been raped, murdered, set on fire. i have a great life. always did. i'm immensely grateful for it. i have had periods of circumstantial unhappiness, which has always evaporated as soon as i saw it for the illusion it was.

but i do get what you're saying about sex. it is overwhelmingly misused. but i tried never to misuse it. i only ever had sex with someone i loved.

i am aware of what the bible says about sex and certainly i know about other options to celibacy. if people feel the need to marry and have sex, that's great. but it is the body which has the need for sex, not the soul. i don't feel that bodily need for sex or for physical intimacy. i feel that i have transcended that bodily need. i am not scared of sex, i don't think sex is dirty, i don't have hang ups about it. celibacy is simply the option which suits me at this stage of my development.

We are not made to be alone.

who says so? loads of people are happy alone. if you want a biblical example, jesus is a fine one. marriage is not the only way to be whole.

What are your views on marriage? Will you, ever, marry?

i am a big fan of marriage. i think marriages in which the partners love and respect each other and love and respect their children provide the best basis for raising those children to be happy and well-adjusted and to fulfil both partners. i'm also a fan of the commitment spouses make to each other. i think it should be honoured and celebrated.

but i doubt i will ever marry. i will not totally discount it because that would be shutting myself off from one of life's wonderful possibilities. but my life is about other things. i feel absolutely driven to concentrate on those other things, which are to do with spiritual development. while i do that, not only do i feel no need for physical union, it would be unfair on the other person to seek it. and seeking it knowing its unfairness would of course harm my spiritual growth. :)

I'm closing in on 3 years of being celibate, but it's not by choice. I'm in a sexless marriage. I worry that I'll forget how if the chance ever presents itself to me.

Very funny. No...very funny. I mean it. Very funny.

Let me assure you that you need not worry about forgetting how. Just lie on your back and smile lustfully.

This is for blue.....

Ummmmmm I am a christian who has fallin short more than a couple of times if that makes sense :o . Practicing celebacy is a very hard but safe thing to do because it's so many diseases out here I think everyone should want to practice not only for themselves but for purity in their bodies.

The only thing that I disagree with you on is you're telling everyone HEY STOP HAVING SEX YOUR MIND WILL GET CLEARED!!!!! That's not always the case my dear because like I said from experience especially if you're not a virgin it is very difficult to stop having sex. I mean most of the time I'm thinking about sex because I need to release and I'm just keeping it real with you, so for everyone out here she is making a valid point about stop having sex but in order to clear your mind from wanting it and I'm talking to myself is to get in that word (Bible) because GOD is the only way for you to clear your minds from wanting sex it may take a while but like they said Rome wasn't build in a day.

Blue keep up the good work ;)
