RecordProducer
What's the lowest figure you would sell your sex life for? No such figure! It's a very tempting offer - especially as I'm probably not going to have sex again anyway. Ten million for nothing...woo! Huh? Why are you saying this?
magichands
Huh? Why are you saying this? The prospect of not finding love again worries me a lot more than the prospect of not having sex again. So...maybe you get the picture. I'm pretty optimistic, though. Maybe that was a bit of attention-seeking behaviour. Sorry.
westernxer
if you don't have sex for a calendar year, it heals up. I thought that was common knowledge. About as common as an ice cream shop in Antarctica. </snicker>

magichands
Get your virginity back?? I didn't have sex for years at a stretch, and my hymen never grew back. A year for each guy you've been with. Does that make more sense now? Sorry for the confusion.

Is this like a "beauty treatment" instructional video? I agree that she must do something to maintain such wonderful skin tone.

So...maybe you get the picture. I'm pretty optimistic, though. Maybe that was a bit of attention-seeking behaviour. Sorry. My dad didn't have sex for years and thought he would never have it again. Then he met some woman and slept with her once or twice just to realize that she was intellectually far below his level (and he thought she was low class). She wasn't pretty, but it didn't bother him. What bothered him is that she wanted to be serious with him and he didn't want her. So he rejected the sex and she accused him of being a coward. I think it was either honorable of him to give up the sex in order to NOT string her along for nothing or simply the sex without love was not that good.
Author bluetuesday
I've heard of people being A-sexual. But, that is when you have no emotional needs or sexual attraction to either sexes. Is that what we are talking about here? no, i find people attractive. do i have emotional needs? hmmmm, i don't know if i have needs in the way some people have needs. i don't feel less of a person without a partner. i don't feel like i'm missing something. i'm reasonably emotionally self-sufficient. i like human company a lot but i don't feel lonely or bored or somehow 'less' without it. so i guess my emotional needs are not needy needs, if you know what i mean. however, it is perfectly possible to not act on every (or indeed any) attraction and to have emotional needs met in other ways than sexual contact. but i'm in no way anti-sex or a-sexual. i don't see celibacy as a repression of sexuality. i see it as an expression of a different shade of humanity. but i do see that sexuality has much too high a place in people's minds. it seems to be that if you're not expressing it, there's something wrong. yet having a sex life isn't essential. you don't die without sex. lots of people live their whole lives without it. funny that having an eating disorder, something that does threaten your life, is probably seen as more normal than choosing to be celibate. plus i'm a girl, quank. lovelorcet
I think this is all really sad, I think there is a big difference bewteen a f*ck and the intimacy that comes a long with sex with someone you love. I am not sure if I could give that up.

This_Too_Shall_Pass
Do you get a certificate and everything? Dunno about that... But then, getting a certificate would defeat the purpose of presenting oneself as a virgin again, won't it?
magichands
But then, getting a certificate would defeat the purpose of presenting oneself as a virgin again, won't it? That's deep, woman. Being that smart is just too sexy.

RecordProducer
plus i'm a girl, quank. Huh? You're a girl?! I always thought you were a guy! I think we all did. Anyway, I find your emotions completely understandable if they last only temporarily (for several years). But if it's forever then I can't indentify with you. Are you actually happy being by yourself?
Guest
I always thought you were a guy! I think we all did. Speak for yourself. Are you actually happy being by yourself? Why is that so hard to understand? If you can't find inner peace and contentment when you're on your own, IMHO you don't make a good partner.
Author bluetuesday
Huh? You're a girl?! I always thought you were a guy! I think we all did. no, some people know me here. Anyway, I find your emotions completely understandable if they last only temporarily (for several years). But if it's forever then I can't indentify with you. lots of people live very fulfilling lives alone. needing a relationship is something you can grow out of. i have. but people prefer to think it's weird because that view validates their own neediness, IMO. Are you actually happy being by yourself? i think that question is unspeakably sad. i have never felt like i needed a partner, even when i chose to have one. that level of dependency is alien to me. and yes, i am very very happy indeed. :bunny: :bunny: see?? magichands
that level of dependency is alien to me. Some might prefer enhancement, as opposed to dependency. But I have to admit that I have fantasies about aliens too. They take me up to their mother-ship, and...well, let's just say I get really annoyed when they beam me back. Those aliens are such players.

I agree with you. I've always thought that anyone should be able to be alone and still be happy with themselves. In the times that I wasn't I knew I wasn't ready for a relationship anyways. How can I be ready for anyone else if I can't be happy with the chick in the mirror?
