Does anyone else have an overacting Drama Queen at their workplace?

Don't these people realize that their behavior is abnormal??

A few ex friends of mine filled that role, but I have been fortunate to not have to work with those type as of yet. The whole world has to revolve around them and their problems.

Exactly a4a. I am soo tired of hearing about her wittle feewings.

"Can we talk?"...*siiiiiiigh*

"Uh, NO! Leave me alone."

This woman needs constant reassurance from everyone.

Well give it to her with a foot in her ass!

Is she your employer or above you in some manner?

Next time she comes in your area and starts being a kitchen chicken.... just start digging at your nose...... root for nose candy...... I mean jam your fingers in your dang nose up to the first knuckle, and just look at her and just keep diggin'...... of course check your finger for treasure now and again..

At times actions are much louder and clearer than words ever will be.

Thanks, a4a, I'll try it. :D Seriously, I'll try it. Anything to get this woman to avoid me.

She is not my employer. We are both supervisors and have the same status. I've been here 4 years, she's been here 6 mo.

My motto at work is K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid.

Her motto is I.L.C. I love chaos!

drama queens are unfortunately the worst in the sack. they expend all their energy outside the bedroom and then when it comes time to perform sexually they are emotionally and physically drained.

OMG. She is crying again today!!

What is wrong with this woman? Can she not handle her emotions? Does she think that by crying she will get her way??

The thing is...is that she's 60 yr old.

Can anyone say Xanax?

She sounds like she is sad and lonely.....But I am sure you are fed up with all the emotional stuff ..

We have MAJOR DRAMA queen at our job. But she is like mentally disturbed... tortured by her abusive past and its like a roller coaster ride during a Hurricane.

When she freaks out I just ignore her and she tries to sniff out a confrontation but we all just pretend she does not exist. ....

I worked with a hellish girl several years ago. There had been a spate of personnel problems in the firm, and although they'd been sorted out she'd got herself on such a high from getting embroiled in the office drama that she just wouldn't let go of it. So she set about stirring up crap about minor things - and particularly for me. I think the aim was to teach me a lesson for not taking enough interest in all the petty politics she so enjoyed.

Anyway, over the space of a few weeks I found myself hauled up to her boss's office on several occasions, where I'd listen to him reading off a list of various complaints and tittle tattle that had been passed onto him by this bitch. "Lindya was 10 minutes late four days ago, and 15 minutes late three weeks ago. One of the computers isn't working today, and I remember Lindya using it a week ago. Bitch bitch, tittle tattle, etc etc."

I tried to discuss it with her: "What's the problem? You can talk to me - you don't need to run to the boss about every little thing..." but nonononono, she avoided any opportunity to sort it in a civilised manner. That wouldn't have been nearly dramatic and exciting enough. She was constantly rude, snappy and bad tempered - but if ever you'd had your fill and decided to snap back at her, she'd come over all fragile, burst into tears and describe some some personal drama (an ill kitten, her next door neighbour's dog being put down, a sad episode of Eastenders having been aired the previous evening...) that was making her "not be herself right now".

After a year of it, I think she'd pretty much established that iron-hard bitchiness and two-facery covered up with faux sentimentality and cutesinesss was most definitely what "herself" was. Yuk. She was just loathesome.

Oh noooooooo it has nothing to do with reasoning. These attention whores get their thrills from being the main center of attention. They thrive , live and breathe drama and their sum of existance lies in making you absolutely miserable.

This drama queen loves to threaten with this : " Oh I see some of you aren't doing it the way you are supposed to so I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO RUN AND TELL THE BOSS about you "

This is done out in the open so we all devised a plan to keep notes too .... I wonder if she will EVER realize threatening us is not a great way to establish a great work environment ?
