happymom Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I've been on zoloft and wellbutrin for one year. Now, I have noticed that I have gained 12 pounds since May. My dr says i lost weight due to the antid's but that my body is used to it now..so, i'm at baseline. I didn't like my weight before and I don't now! It makes me more depressed!

magichands Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I do, but I haven't been motivated. I have a gym membership.. Motivation. I love that word. It's almost as if it is supposed to come naturally. Like, I'm not motivated this week. But next week I'll check for any change. Why don't you set yourself a realistic goal, like not eating for three days straight. And running on a treadmill (or whatever your favourite machines are) for a combined total of one hour per day. But seriously, maybe it is time to set a realistic goal. Achieving it will make you feel better about yourself. Sure, you won't see results overnight - but you have nothing to lose, really. Especially since you have already paid for the gym membership. Alternatively have lots more sex.
luvtoto Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I've gained weight on antidepressants before. I take lexapro 10mg now. After I switched, weight was gone in about two and a half months.
luvtoto Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Well, all my life I've always been a size 5. When I took started taking antidepressants, I was up to a size 7. That was major for me! I've never had a weight problem in my life...but did then. I was miserable!!! I can't believe how fast I gained it. Like 2-3lbs a week.
