Mydish1 Posted November 8, 2006 Share Posted November 8, 2006 I just signed up with a new temp agency last week. I hadnt heard from my supposed contact since. I called and left a message. To my surprise there's a 'new girl' who took over. She has the paperwork that was done by the previous person, including a xerox of my photo ID. Ironically if any of the staff at these agencies quit, it's so easy to find a replacement because they have easy access to people who need jobs. So the new girl knows what I look like...her call was weird, we spent almost 4 mins on the phone. And I think I may have met her when I was at the office last week, as she too was an applicant. And if it was the same girl, im definitely interested. She was telling me how this is all new to her and stuff. I know she was second guessing herself because she is taking over someone else's accounts/applicants. I dont know if she was looking for me to comfort her or ask her out or something. She was very friendly and upbeat in a confused way over the phone. Well Im not too fond of mixing business with pleasure, especially if it can influence whether or not I get a job. But I wonder if i should slowly move my way up to asking her out or at least get to know her? or am i making too much of this situatoin? Link to post Share on other sites
Green Posted November 8, 2006 Share Posted November 8, 2006 ah wanting to hit on the lady controling ur temp agency future Ive face this dilema b4 what I did was throw out a bunch of inuendo's which could be a bad Idea and wanted to see if she bit on any of them. Yeah Id definetly make a move but be real cool about it. like invite her out on a friendly time out that way if she turns u down u dont seem like the ass u would have had you just put ur arm around her or tried asking her out on a romantic date right off the bat. just ask her out to lunch next time ur on the phone or in the office thats my advice and take it from there if she goes to lunch with you or says something like i cant go to lunch but lets have dinner or she says lunch some other time ask for her number and just be extra cautious in all honesty if you really dont care I wouldnt do it but with that said I did hit on a girl when I was in ur exact situation Link to post Share on other sites
