I am learning to enjoy my own company, watch a movie by myself, be my own date. I know this may sound pathetic to some, but in the end all you got is yourself, the future can never be predicted, i never thought my ex would totally shatter my world but thats life and yes life can be a biyatch most times. I now truly believe the saying you have to love yourself first, and ever since i started just doing things for my self, the guys are all over me, but screw them, not sure if im ready to jump back into the dating world just yet, to busy loving the most wonderful girl in the world (ME!!!!!!!!!!!) Maybe the fact that we don't (want to?) move on is a sign that we can't love ourselves enough in the first place. Because if we would love ourselves, we would think "damn, it's me. Why do I keep sitting in a state of unhappiness for months and months?". There's no person who will bring us what we haven't got ourselves. I also used to think that when my ex-bf left, something was gone that I would never recover. It felt like he gave me something I didn't have and then took it all away again. Now I am trying to focus on that. What was it I didn't have? And why do I need someone else to give it to me? Just keep going, be kind to yourself, focus on YOU and who you are. The "S" in "SB" doesn't stand for small. 350#, lift weights 3-4x a week. Nothing small there. Trust me. As for Ariawoman being my "FW", while the "Future Wife" scenario is, in some ways, a very lovely thought, when we first "met" on here (June 25th..I'll never forget because it's the day my NC began with my ex), something just told me we were meant to become FRIENDS. That day, I needed a friend more than you could ever imagine, and she was there for me when I had NO ONE to turn to. My best friend, she's friends with my ex. Can't go there. My guy friends..... typical "oh, you'll be banging someone else soon enough" types. Nope, not what I wanted to hear. My mother? "Your aunt and I will find you a nice Jewish girl".... nope... I needed someone I could relate to. And since she and I relate to each other so well, that's how we became friends. And even though our friendship continues to get stronger, it's still friendship.
