MagnoliaJane
I like to boogey on African music, their beats always make me happy! [A trip WHERE? To Bolivia? To visit the chickens? I hear they raise them as big as turkeys! (If you can name the source of that joke, I'll marry you.)] Damn... no marriage in sight (and I'm 37 hehe). No kiddin' these chickens you are talking about are lamas and alpacas hehehehe. And I DO recommend Bolivia. Last Friday I was at the airport in La Paz, at 4000 meter above sea level -yes, having a headache!!!- and I meet up with a... native New Yorker who now lives in.... NJ! (guess it wasn't you TP See... let's all go to Bolivia! (it certainly brought my mind off my ex-bf for a whole month (SO GREAT), meanwhile he emailed me telling me he's looking forward to see me back again - the hell he does, that's why he left me in the first place!) Anyway, I am soooo in control for the moment (meanwhile hiding in my office on a rainy Sunday afternoon) Shall I start singing "Singing in the rain?"

Alanis- thank you. Nickel back- photograph- Shinedown- some day...deftones- be quiet and drive- deftones- teenager. Pearl jam- YELLOW ED bedder - Songs that remind me or that have been played in the past, are really hard for me to listen too. Fallen_Angel
"Fix You" by Coldplay "Goodbye My Lover" by James Blunt (I first heard this song while sitting in Barnes and Noble...crying in public is so very embarrassing) "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol I'd also have to add "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton...I took him to see Clapton in concert, we had cute little jokes about the song, etc...I can't even listen to the entire song anymore. He also created a ringtone to the chorus of "Master of Puppets"...ouch.

MagnoliaJane
Tp, I arrived at work this morning thinking it was 9am, turns out it is still 8am and nobody's here (yeah those hiding days in Bolivia have definitely done me good! Not only forgot about the ex but also about time... You should have seen me three months ago!) If the Karaoke works out maybe we can form a Loveshack band? What a lovely NY-tempest walking on my way to work this morning. I felt delightfully pissed at my ex-bf and it felt great! So I thought of some happy tunes: 1) IWIWAL (I wish I was a lesbian) from Loudon Wainwright III 2) I'd rather be lonely ("let us make a brand new start, separate and STAY apart!") from the same genius, LWIII Stormy greetings, Magnolia
Author Teacher's Pet
1) IWIWAL (I wish I was a lesbian) from Loudon Wainwright III I dunno about becoming a lesbian, but my ex is a bisexual Catholic. blind_otter
Does anyone else have specific songs that hurt to hear? I'll Fly Away All Things Must Pass by George Harrison I'll See You in my Dreams by the second greatest jazz guitarist in the world, Emmet Ray Blue Moon of Kentucky by anyone who performs it, I cry when I sing it. I lost my father nearly a month ago to lung cancer and all these songs remind me of him. I loved him very much and it hurt to lose him. The worst part about death is the finality. I keep thinking of him laying there in the cold, cold ground. I plan to visit him grave next summer and sing these songs to him.
