It really pisses me off!! I have custody of our 2 year old son which I am grateful for and she only sees him like 2 days out of the week. But while I'm home on a Saturday night she out parting, going to concerts and having a great time.

She got a boyfriend that she "loves" and is out enjoying life with no responsibility. I haven't been out of the house in weeks. When I do get a little time to myself I usually have no where to go so I end up home anyways.

Grrr I guess theres no real solution to this so I'm just venting!!

HAHAHA.

Too late for that.

As harsh as that sounds, I guess it's true.

Welcome to parenthood, but Guest, keep your chin up.:)

Yeah dude, I guess you got custody for a reason... It sucks that you don't have a lot of time to yourself, but take pride in being the responsible parent. You're the one your son is going to appreciate more; he'll remember always being able to count on you. I know it sounds like a bunch of crap sometimes, but I really believe that people who do good things get rewarded one way or another...I hope a little bit more fun comes your way.

Adoption may be a solution. There is a huge market for healthy and white babies.

Enjoy the time you have with your son. He's only two once. The short time they are babies goes by quick. I know everyone says that but it's really true.

In a few years, he'll begin school and will make friends. He'll have activities and will develop his own social circle. You will get to know the parents of these children, as long as you stay active in his life, which you will as long as you don't resent that child and do something stupid to jeopardize the living arrangements as they stand today.

You are the winner here, because you have the child. Enjoy this time. Make it quality time. Once it's gone, you can never get it back.

Maybe someone should have offered your mother an alternative? :o

I'd love to know the demographics of this site.

Yeah, seems the default assumption is that posters here are white and American.

You should make two polls...one for ethnicity, another for health conditions. :p

But I thought only Americans got internet access....

I don't know how you got custody, but, that's good for your son, are you getting child support payments? I assume you both were married, how did that end if you don't mind me asking.......

No we were never married. She walked out on us both. After a few months I filed for custody and she decided that she wanted to fight. Long story short I got custody with her having visitation. I do get child support a whole 50 bucks a month. she supposedly lives below the self support line. what ever that means. She still has plenty of money to take off anytime she wants to party.

I just want to say that I do NOT resent my son. I love him to dealth. I love hanging out with him hes a trip. He makes me laugh so much. But after his 8 o'clock bed time and I have no one to talk to and you can only watch ROCKY 4 so many times.

Thanks for your guys responses.

You can bring him places that may help you to meet single women. Like the park or the zoo. It's not the club scene you're looking for, but it's better than nothing.

I once heard a guy say he picked up on how affectionate I was just by the way I loved up my child. He knew I had it in me.

So if you're out in public, don't hesitate to hug or kiss your son or engage him in conversation, explaining his surroundings.

Don't feel bothered by your situation at all, treat it as the gift that it is. People pick up things about others and how you deal with the situation will say a lot about you. :)
