Author Sand&Water
RE: if he's actually the player you say he is then he already knows this... IF he already knows this, then why pursue me and continue to stay? That doesn't make sense, Alphamale. May be he likes to take advantage of the situation, and to him being superior is an ego boost. allina
So Alpha, are you saying that only undesirable people commit of fall for a person?
alphamale
So Alpha, are you saying that only undesirable people commit of fall for a person? no, i'm saying the undesirables commit easier and fall easier than someone who has many more options.
Author Sand&Water
RE: Probably a good strategy, but what if the raft has drifted some whilst you're away? Into more favourable waters?? I'm going to do that -i.e. discontinue contact for 2 weeks. IF he is truly keen, and wants me for who I am -he will come after me. Otherwise, then it was never meant to be. I have to make him work hard for me [in order to captivate me]. Sand&water
allina
no, i'm saying the undesirables commit easier and fall easier than someone who has many more options. Ok fair enough, though I don't agree 100%, I've always thought that people who have options (desirable candidates you may call them) just fell for the right reasons, but thats getting off topic. alphamale
I'm going to do that -i.e. discontinue contact for 2 weeks. then he'll probably be getting his helmet polished elsewhere... IF he is truly keen, and wants me for who I am -he will come after me. No he won't....he's like me. We have huge egos when it comes to women. We like women to chase us (mainly becasue many do). So if a girl doesn't chase then we know that others will. We're basically lazy at heart.
Author Sand&Water
RE: We're basically lazy at heart. I know. I am afraid he'll turn out to be lazy at heart, and more! But, I am sticking to 2 weeks. I only talk to him 1x [sometimes 2x] a week. What would you suggest I do? Sand&Water

Author Sand&Water
RE: well he has to do something to get to know her and to make a relationship happen Good point. He has, attempted, in the past -but I hinted disinterest because it was too soon. He isn't truly a stud [i think]. He tells me, he has never had a hard time getting women to make out with him. Perhaps, he is used to women chasing him. Yet, on the contrary, he doesn't like attention and doesn't want a woman to walk-all-over him. He said it himself: "I am just a normal, charming guy". He had complimented me, before, with respect to my character and personality -he knows I'm a great person. But, it doesn't add up. I think I know what I need to do. I am going to show him, what he will miss out on, then immediately do 2 weeks of no contact. Sand&Water

I dont' know S&W....this is a tough nut to crack. I would prescribe 1 week of strict NC in this particular situation. 2 wks may be too long.
