hillbilly_1971
My wife of 11 years told me 10 days ago that she wanted a divorce:( . The first few days I begged, cried and tried everything, then I backed off. She puts on her game face whenever I would talk about it, in other conversation we talk just fine. Saturday night as she was leaving for work (Nurse), she gave me a kiss on the forehead. I was extatic. Then Sunday morning when she came home she said it was for the benefit of our 10 year old who was looking at her funny. I was devestated. But then Monday morning as we were getting ready to go hunting, she said that if I shot an 8 pointer she'd give me a kiss. I ask for a good luck hug, and she said "no, you wouldn't stop at that" I assured her that I would and left it at that. As she was going out the door to meet her dad at the sportsmans club, she came over and gave me the hug. Now last night she put the game face back on and is cold again. Is she just toying with me or am I making progress and she's not ready to give in. There has been other examples like this, but this is the easiest to relay. There has been comments of things in the near future that if she was serious about DIVORCE, I don't think she would be saying. She has me wrapped around her finger and getting me up:bunny: and down:( . What is she doing?
Gunny376
She's telling you that as a wife, as woman, you're not meeting her emotional and perhaps her intimate needs. She's hitting you whoop's up-side your head with the female equivalent of a two by four! She's telling you to get a F***** clue! (And, she's been sending up flares, hootting and hollering, waving flags trying to get your attention for sometime now!) She's telling you to change your priorties from Job! Carrer! Family, Children, Her to: Her, children, family, carrer, job! And if you don't she's going to find someone who will! "Dolt!" There Homer Simpson!
Author hillbilly_1971
Last night she came home from work and started figuring out the bills and said that she was closing the checking account, and that I need to get a direct deposit slip because she was opening up seperate checking acct. and that we would be splitting the bills that way from now on. She scribbles her maiden name on paper now. She is everything in my life, what can I do to get her to want me? There is no physical contact and doesn't want to do anything social together. Should I just give her space. Financially she is better off than me, especially if she gets this new job at WVU. So if she goes, money won't be a factor in bringing her back. Please God, what can I do?
ladibird
It is strange behavour but like Gunny said maybe it's to get your attention on the things she needs. I have told my H I want to leave and we used to always hug and peck but since saturday when I (we) decided we would leave untill after xmas I haven't been near him like that because I don't want to give him the wrong Idea... Ask her what she's doing? Do something spontaneous and see if she likes it. Plan a romantic night away in a nice hotel or a meal at least and get the house to your self for later. If it back fires it will hurt yes but you'll know she if she is playing games or not. If she is she is out of order, but if she's not it could save your marraige.
