Trialbyfire
lol, and so you are. Hyperthyroidism makes you lose weight, even though you eat three meals a day or a lot.
Author coco_milkshake
Ah! I think that might be the problem...at one point I was stuck on 87 pounds but just pushed it up to 92 pounds whereas I drop weight very quickly...I will ask the doctor.
Trialbyfire
Yes, it's worth checking into, although sometimes it might simply be genetics. I'm 5'3" and outweigh you by 13 - 18 lbs and I'm considered fairly thin at 105 - 110 lbs. When I was a teen, I was at this weight and was considered one of the chubbiest in my family, lol, not that it bothered me.
Author coco_milkshake
Hehe I was made fun of by my family when I was over 120 pounds and my mum was more worried about my arranged marriage - "no one will marry you if you are fat" - this was in 2005, then I got sick and lost a lot of weight and now she is telling me I am too thin - cant win lol. Author coco_milkshake
Ok I finally found the number for the health centre...turns out the number given by both my counsellor and SWA was wrong by one digit (eh?) so I gave them a call today and asked for an appointment on Thursday - not possible. Asked for Friday and there is one available at 11. One problem - my presentation at uni is at 10.40-10.55 and if I fail to turn up then that means Ive failed the coursework. Though I said I will give them a call back cos my lecturer is contemplating whether to have the group presentation this Friday or not cos my friend's papa passed away last Friday and has to go to his funeral and this cannot be done without her. Fingers crossed it gets rescheduled so I can go to this damn thing....
Author coco_milkshake
Well its finally happening. I am going this Friday and no excuses Hopefully I will find out what is wrong and get treated asap.
yongyong
YOU MUST EXERCISE. For me, if I don't exercise, I don't eat a lot so I lose weight (sorry for people who have opposite problem) You don't want to just sit and force yourself to eat unleass you want to be a sumo player. If you exercise then you will enjoy eating more.
Trialbyfire
Good luck coco. Hopefully it's just genetics.
Author coco_milkshake
Hey people, Went to the health centre and I had to tell them about my home situation and the reasons I couldnt go to see my GP. Taking my circumstances into consideration they got a doctor from the medical block to come and take a look at me. She listened to my heart and took my blood pressure and touch wood, both are normal. She then measured my weight against my height and told me that I am underweight which I already knew. She seems to think I have an anxiety disorder which could be because of the stress that I have had lately but she is also going to write to my GP about it to let him know what is happening. She then took a urine sample from me to get tested and also some blood to check for thyroids and stuff like that and I will find out the results of that on the 29th of December which is 2 weeks today. InsanityImpaired
The results are "good", no unexpected bad outcomes. Hopefully the tests on the samples will be positive for you too. It is also good that your GP will be knowing a bit more about your situation. Anxiety disorder could be correct, but the only way to really now, is to actually get an appointment with a psychologist. rob1sinner
i am 6'0 and weight 180. i used to weight 135....so u can imagine i was really skinny. i have a fast metabolism just like you but still i was determined to put on weight. so heres some stuff that i did that i really suggest. eat 5 to 6 times a day even if you're not hungry. make it a habit. if you keep doing it i found out that eventually your stomach will grow and get hungry more often. it will also be able to fit more food in hence you will be eating bigger meals. if you do that i think you'll gain a nice amount a weight within a couple of months. i know i did. i also did alot of weight training along with this type of "diet" so my body would bulk up and not just gain pure fat. Author coco_milkshake
Hiya Thanks for your advice. I am trying my best to eat more but it has been a nightmare as I feel sick and pain after each meal. I have managed to get to 98 pounds but it was not easy. Trying to build up my eating habits and I am due to see an eating disorder counsellor next month.
