Anything you could tell me about AA meetings would be very useful. Just for starters... 1. Is there a lot of people 2. What is the general feeling there? sad, happy, uplifting? 3. What are the people like? friendly? talkative? 4. where are meetings usually taking place at? churches? schools? 5. what were dome of your feelings when you attended you first few? 6. How do you feel when you leave? I know this is a personal matter so if you feel you would rather not share your experience I respect that. What is the general feeling there? sad, happy, uplifting? Depends on the day. Generally uplifting, acknowledging the sadness and lifting individuals up to face themselves with courage. 3. What are the people like? friendly? talkative? Very talkative, but I am pretty reserved at the meetings. 4. where are meetings usually taking place at? churches? schools? There is a buildling someone donated for AA meetings on the East side of town. It's used for several different AA groups. 5. what were dome of your feelings when you attended you first few? Nervous, anxious, defensive, edgy, unhappy and skeptical. Over time I grew to enjoy listening to the stories to remind myself, there but by the Grace of God go I. 6. How do you feel when you leave? You could go to a meeting.. they are everywhere and almost in every church around where you live. You don't have to be a drunk to go... Go to aa.org and go to how to find meetings.
