freckles73
I used to love Christmas and this time of year. Back when I had a husband we would spend so much time with family and decorating our home, and everything felt so full of love and joy. Now I'm all alone. No family, and my friends are busy with theirs. This has become the most depressing time of year. I thought I would try to stay busy on Monday by volunteering to help cook dinner for the homeless, but several places I called a couple of weeks ago said they already have all the help they need. They asked if I could donate my money instead of my time, but I am broke. I guess everything is mounting up because I lost my ex-boyfriend in July and I'm feeling very lonely, missing the Christmastime we shared last year, and now I'm left only with memories of better times. Thanks for listening to my pity-party.
melodymatters
I'm sorry freckles ! *Big hugs*. This is going to be MY worst x-mas so far as well. Recent breakup, no family near and very few friends in the area, who will all be with THEIR families. Plus, i sold my house and have to be out on the 27th, so all I will be doing is packing. No tree, no presents, nothing to look forward to....except the fact that 2006 will be OVER !!!! here's to you and I posting back and forth dec 22, 2007, about how excited we are and how great our holidays are THIS year !!! Cheers ! Melody
